@DaraghCassidy @DubCityCouncil Liffey Spires: Georges Quay Plaza, Reborn at Higher Density Imagine Georges Quay’s pyramid towers multiplied and intensified — 6→18 storeys, rising in clusters like Christ Church spires reinterpreted in glass and zinc. 🔹 Higher density: 550 homes/ha (Barcelona superblock model.

@patrickc France’s 70s–80s technocracy was world-class planning in action: TGV, Ariane, Concorde, Minitel, a nuclear grid unmatched. Guided by the Nora–Minc, Théry & later Bertelsmann reports, it fused STEM excellence, elite engineering (Polytechnique, ENA) & 5-year plans. China today.

What’s the best thing written about why the remarkably vigorous and inventive France of the 70s and 80s (TGV, Minitel, Ariane, Rafale, Concorde, the world’s preeminent nuclear grid…) has not been nearly as visible in the 21st century? What went wrong?

There is no analogue for WeChat outside of China. Not a single international app has the financial backbone, the creative vision, or the critical mass of users to rival WeChat's functions as an "everything app." That is... until 𝕏. Crucially, unlike WeChat, its built on the principle of free speech. Twitter may have lost its way in the decade-plus since it was built, but 𝕏 not only takes the platform back to its foundation, retaining its best features, but augments it into what will soon become the "everything app" for everyone -- with short and long-form video, written articles, livestreaming, and financial services. Is it any surprise that Facebook feels threatened by this? No, of course not, but 𝕏 also stands to upend the establishment media with citizen journalism. In an age where the truth has become a subjective concept through the pollution of language, a platform that stands for transparency, integrity, and most importantly--the truth--is not only something most people want, but is necessary for humanity if we are to be free. How do you see 𝕏 moving forward?

@realBobbyHealy If he builds something similar to WeChat, the App to rule all Apps, then it just may pay off.
