Ukraine's Constitution and the Law on Martial Law explicitly ban national elections (presidential or parliamentary) while martial law is in effect—imposed Feb 24, 2022, and extended through at least May 2026. Parliament's term is automatically prolonged until after it ends. Officials, including Zelenskyy, say polls require a ceasefire plus security guarantees and 6+ months prep.
Orban's Fidesz used its 2010 supermajority to amend the 2011 Constitution: expanded the Constitutional Court from 11 to 15 judges, shifted nominations to favor the ruling party, annulled prior rulings, and installed allies—measures critics called court-packing to entrench influence long-term. Despite this, Hungary held elections April 12, 2026; Orban's party lost decisively to opposition, and he conceded peacefully.

Let me get this straight: In Hungary, a "dictator" just lost democratic elections held without violations. This "dictator" immediately and placidly conceded defeat. Meanwhile in Ukraine, a "democratic" leader, who has imprisoned the opposition, continues to be president without elections.
Guess which one the European Union supports?

To our friends in Hungary, we hope you will vote for independent thinking and for someone who stands for Hungary First. We hope you will vote for my father’s friend and ally. One leader in Europe has a direct line to the White House, I hope you will support Viktor Orban! #Hungary

@piersmorgan But Trump got what he wanted. Played Europe like a violin.
He insulted them, but they gave him Greenland just the same.
Imagine the reverse, Europe demanding from him, insulting him. He's slam door in their faces.
Brutal, no question. But it is reality.

NATO has invoked Article 5 only once in its history and forces from NATO allies(among them a lot of European nations) have stood shoulder-to-shoulder with American soldiers around the world in the war against terror on the request of The United States, European nation lost soldiers too
NATO Spending as a Percentage of GDP
Eastern and northern European countries led in relative spending, with several exceeding 3% of GDP:
Poland – 4.48%
Lithuania – 4.00%
Latvia – 3.73%
Estonia – 3.38%
Norway – 3.35%
Denmark – 3.22%
United States – 3.22%
Greece – 2.85%
United Kingdom – 2.40%
France – 2.05%
Canada – 2.01%
Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Albania – 2% exactly
The average NATO member spent 2.77% of GDP on defense in 2025, reflecting a significant increase from previous years and the first time all members met the 2% benchmark set in 2014

@RpsAgainstTrump Absolutely! Apparently, Western European nations think NATO only goes one way where the US SPENDS most of the money and gets the least amount of protection. Sec Rubio is calling bs and holding these elites accountable.

You threaten to take Greenland, then you mock your allies' efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan and threaten with tariffs, start a war without informing your allies and say you don't need our help and when things don't go your way then you can use our help
And the war against Iran has nothing to do with NATO
English

@kneerecon @RpsAgainstTrump Old enough to have been there and know just how useless NATO is firsthand
English

@Tommygun081578 @mikepompeo For clarification, NATO's total annual operating budget is only about $3.6 billion, and the U.S. contributes roughly 15.8% of that,
English

@mikepompeo Yes because Americans love giving the alliance 960 billion dollars . Fk off !!

Mike, with all due respect, that was 'then' this is 'now.' The world order has changed and is continuing to change. Our 'partners' are not capable of managing their own regions, let alone supporting the US when we need them. Time for new partnerships, not making excuses to continue broken ones.

That is a great RINO argument. Fact is we don’t need NATO. These countries are in many instances hostile to the United States. There was no NATO IN WWI or WWII. We can help anyone at any time. NATO actually deployed troops to Greenland, as a ceremonial show of opposition. They don’t pay, they won’t fight. They don’t have meaningful weapons. They engage in unfair trade. They act as if the United States is their feed trough. We should leave it.

@mikepompeo We asked to use bases in their country and they said no, fuck them and asking them to pull their own weight. They knew exactly what they were doing, now live with the decision.

@mikepompeo In case you've been under a rock, parasitic NATO members are inhibiting us from advancing our own interests.

@mikepompeo But when they have a globalist agenda to work against the best interests of America, are we to keep footing the majority of the bill & ignore it. They’re snuggling up to China - it’s all about money for these idiots until the shit hits the fan then they expect America to step in
English

And try to read about NATO instead of swallowing all your president says
English

@mikepompeo We don’t need to be a part of NATO it’s nothing without us. We need to get out of NATO. It’s nothing but a ploy to continue regime change wars and rob the taxpayers. @SenateGOP @HouseGOP

@mikepompeo I want to agree with you, unfortunately, the response of these feckless Europeans indicates that, in this era at least, our interests are not being advanced by our so-called allies.
English

@NFTBatt @StateDept NATO is a defence alliance, that its charter.
English

Secretary Rubio is SPITTING FACTS 🔥🇺🇸 If NATO’s only gig is us defending Europe when they get hit… but they ghost us on basing rights the second WE need the help? Nah, that’s not a partnership, that’s a one-way street with us footing the bill 😂 Time to renegotiate or hit the road—America deserves better! Who’s with me? 💪

@EricLDaugh @NJ_USA_Patriot USA promised Ukraine security together with UK and Russia if they were to give up their Nuclear weapon. Russia did not live up to that agreement and attacked Ukraine, so both US and UK have a job to do in helping Ukraine

@Ryandally08 @RpsAgainstTrump Ukraine is in the middle of a war with Russia, and by the way, they offered help to US with drone expertise, but your president said no thanks
