Die Namen der Söhne Jakobs wurden über Generationen an Söhne jüdischer Familien weitergegeben (Nachnamen wurden viel später vergeben). Jeder Ruben (Reuven), Ascher, Benjamin, Juda (Yehuda), Simon und Manasse (Menashe) erinnert an die Verbindung der biblischen Gestalten mit dem Land Israel. Diese Verbindung wurde auch durch Jahrhunderte der Vertreibung und der Diaspora aufrechterhalten. Die ganze Kolonialismus-Lüge fällt in sich zusammen, wenn einem bewusst wird, dass das Land Israel (eretz Yisrael) in die jüdische Geschichte eingeschrieben ist, dass die jüdische Tradition hier entstanden ist, dass Sprache, Schrift, Feste und heiliger Text der Juden untrennbar mit dem Land verbunden sind. Eretz Yisrael - das Land Israel. Am Yisrael - das Volk Israel. Und heute auch Medinat Yisrael - der Staat Israel.
