Every other person on LinkedIn is a "Founder" now. And it's becoming a problem. In fact, 46% of candidates applying to startup roles on Clera have "Founder" on their LinkedIn/resume. And look founders hiring through us love seeing it. They want people who've taken risk, built something from nothing. But that number is hard to trust with title-inflation. Because "Founder" covers everything from someone who raised a small pre-seed, got to 500 users, and shut down after 18 months of genuinely trying... To someone who vibe coded a landing page on a Sunday afternoon and never shipped it. And it's starting to dilute the signal for the people who actually did it. The way keyword-based resume screening works right now, that person gets treated the same as everyone else. So we've been intentional with Clera, training our AI talent agent to actually dig in and extrapolate real signals like: > if they raised $$ > # of users > MRR/ARR figures etc… That usually gives a lot more signal.

This is probably the lowest I've been since a few years. Can't find freelance work, was super close of getting a good job in a startup in Switzerland, I failed B2B sales, and I don't know how I'll pay rent this month. Worst of all: my second baby is coming next month. I did tons of outreach that I should have started earlier. But it'll likely won't bring any result for at least a month.
