Today I had the opportunity to take the Hayabusa high speed train from Tokyo to Sapporo. Topping out at 320 km/h, Shinkansen trains like these allow both locals and tourists to cross the country in just hours. If Alberta had one we could get between Calgary and Edmonton in less than an hour! We are currently developing a Passenger Rail Master Plan for the province. So it would appear @MarkJCarney is now just fine with Canada continuing to be 100% reliant on the United States to purchase all of our oil and gas, and to purchase all of the fuel used by Ontario and Quebec from the U.S. through Line 5. This is absurd, irrational and anti-Canadian in every respect. It’s also the exact opposite of what he promised while in Alberta a couple of weeks ago. Does he want Canada to be strong, prosperous and independent or not?

Last night, Carney and Poilievre were guests on the French CBC talk show "Tout le monde en parle" (not at the same time). The questions were actually tough for both candidates. I'd say the crowd doesn't really like either man. Carney acted more like a politicians, and avoided answering the questions. I think that's as much a function of his poor French. Pierre avoid slogans all together. When asked if he's "Trump-like" he gave a great answer, pointing out that they both have completely different upbringing and career path. Quebecers have a hard choice to make.

I spoke to my sister on the phone yesterday who is conservative, and she shared that she hung out with a bunch of their conservative friends last weekend, and they have all flipped and are voting liberal. Her in-laws who are from Alberta and have always voted conservative have also flipped. This is a real thing that is happening. The propaganda machine nailed it this time around. Mind blowing!

Does anyone else think that this is being influenced to steer sentiments among voters?
