@staidindoors I have no background with the original backrooms, so I went in with no expectation. But thematically I think it does some really cool stuff. A lot of people are gonna hate it because it’s not a traditional follow the narrative movie/horror

@getreadybuddy All the elements were there. I respect them for wanting to explore these characters and make it not just about digging deeper into the backrooms lore but really tie the premise thematically to the characters and their journeys. I just don't think they were successful in that.

The script for Backrooms is very Not Good. There's a pivotal scene written so poorly it kind of soured the whole movie for me. A lot of it is really solid though. The movie is clearly more comfortable the closer it stays to the web series.
