Jackson Kuwatch will benefit from adding mass and strength to his frame, but he’s certainly not collision-averse Finally got around to watching some games from the #Panthers R7 pick. I get the developmental appeal — really moves well for his size

@avl_mike They can all contribute in different ways. Would’ve been nice if the draft fell in a way that we could upgrade at TE, but it’s also totally fine to let these guys develop a little bit more given that TE is a position that generally takes a few years to get going

Analytics love #Panthers UDFA CB DeVonta Smith Vs. NFL CBs from 2015-2025, Smith is in elite in: - Yards Allowed per Coverage Snap (99th %ile) - QBR Against (93rd %ile) Morgan could have yet another UDFA steal under his belt I'm sure @PanthersCulture is a fan

The Panthers analytics department did a tremendous job of reading the board this draft

@Jared_NFLDraft Yeah, makes no sense to cut him. Even if Brazzell beats him out, having quality depth is a good thing in a league full of attrition

The #Panthers drafting Chris Brazzell II ≠ Xavier Legette is done in Carolina. Team still thinks highly of him and want him to be a much better player. I’d be shocked if Carolina cut him, wouldn’t make much sense, financially.

I wonder how many NFL analytics departments said “meh, this class sucks, you guys do whatever you want this year” and these are the results

Also, if you read this quote from Canales (via @JulianCouncil), they’re expecting Brazzell to win downfield to open up the intermediate area, which is where XL wins more anyway. Just different players, for better or worse.

Selecting Chris Brazzell is only the end of Xavier Legette in Carolina if XL lets that happen. He needs to recognize he’s running out of rope though.
