can’t believe I got 200+ followers in just a couple of days. I started around 34. my goal now is to get to 1,000 as fast as possible and use this account to share: - what I’m building - what I’m learning - the tools I’m using - the wins and the mistakes if you’re into tech, startups, software, or building products, follow along. let’s connect.🫂

100 followers in a day?🎉 What is happening this Sunday? Thank you so much everyone! Also it’s my first time doing 100 replies in a day! Great Sunday work 😍

1 follower away from 700 not even the follower count that’s crazy to me it’s seeing random posts hit 5k+ impressions after getting almost no reach before posting daily while building is actually working need more builder friends on here 🤝

@KieranT1000 @cloudbets_ @2147mill Don’t buy the new car. Dream about owning an even better one when you won’t “feel it” - I’ve had my fiesta for 11 years or so. I’m not buying a new one until it’s in the scrappy!

@getwealthr the value is clear, but the hero has a lot packed in. I’d make the first line even sharper: “Your UK net worth, tax and retirement plan in one place"

@JamieFinance25 We’re told to avoid debt, but used correctly, debt can be leverage for growth - as long as your returns outweigh the cost/risk of course.

£25 a week challenge update 📈 Silver has had a big move today, so naturally I’ve decided to finally start buying it 😅 £25 is going into $SIVE. Not trying to time the top or bottom, just building small positions consistently. Would you buy silver here, or wait for a pullback?

You've got your head screwed on - that's all that matters. She'll be thankful one day! My issue is I overthink these things and it'd consume me lol. But better to be a man with a plan, as they say. Actually built my own app (WealthR.co.uk) to solve exactly this for myself in terms of visualising all my assets - was sick of using a spreadsheet tbh. Would love your thoughts if you fancy a wee look. No issues if not, cheers

Definitely! This is my preliminary plan: 1. Once child hits 18yo, if she goes uni: pay off her SFE 2. Throughout her adult life, I liquidate some assets and “gift” it to her to reduce my estate eg. House deposit, business startup 3. I personally am thinking of a LISA… to act as a life insurance replacement. Tax free lump sum to help with if there’s any IHT burden that comes up. Paradoxically, LISA itself will increase estate!! Lots of thinking to do in the years to come

yeah makes sense - though worth flagging pensions enter the estate for IHT from April 2027. for deaths after 75 the beneficiary also pays income tax on the inherited pot, stacks to ~65% effective. so the 'pension' part of your stack is going to bite harder than people realise i think. JISA dodges that but the kid gets full control at 18 which is its own can of worms... unless they turn out to be a responsible young adult of course ;) ha

Thanks Liam. Of course there’s pros & cons to it! Major disadvantage is that the wealth I intend to pass on to my daughter, forms part of my estate meaning that it could be liable to inheritance tax - if my home equity continues to increase, pension & stocks ISA too. Quite possible. So one needs to be concioue about estate planning and inheritance, with my approach above ^ Whereas a JISA, ensures your child’s wealth is not in your estate and therefore child never has the threat of IHT looming. Hope that made sense?

Interesting follow up Q really. I haven’t - intentionally. I’m not comfortable with such sizeable sum of money accessible to them legally at such a young naive age (18). Regardless of how much education you provide, I just don’t feel comfortable with it. Instead it’s in my wife’s ISA, we created a pie for our child. And build it monthly. Whereas, my ISA is for our wealth together, and aiming to max it yearly.

@UnderKeeI Bit of a mix I’d say. Just started the $SIVE position this morning. My main pie consists of $VWRP, $QNTG & $SEMI RR I have so much faith in for a long term hold $WINC is for dividend income and $NOW is a great pick too IMO

Smashed through £1,000 today. First big step cleared. Just over a week since my first post and I’ve nearly doubled my portfolio value. Next big milestone: £5,000. I will hit it by the end of the year.
