@rachallison1 I’m my experience (reading between the lines) women end up losing interest because I’m showing interest and paying attention. Ironically that makes me thing I should be more nonchalant.
It might be worth a conversation rather than just giving up

@adrianatortja Doing code reviews really is one of the best ways to grow. The trick is to get the balance right so the review inform your own code.

@joncphillips Happy birthday! Next year you’ll be running a $$$ business from your boat

If you're starting over, this is for you
I'm 35. I've restarted my life more times than most people dare to try once
New countries. New careers. New versions of myself. Each time scarier than the last. Each time worth it.
At 22 I moved to London alone not speaking the language. At 29 I was a diving instructor living my dream. At 30 a pandemic took everything overnight. At 31 I learned to code from scratch to build the company I couldn't stop thinking about. Be Underwater. Airbnb for scuba diving. I coded every night after 10-hour dive days in Palau while nobody knew we existed.
200+ dive centers later, I quit my job. All in.
Every single time it looked like things were falling apart, they were actually falling into place.
The only thing standing between you and the life you want isn't timing, age, or circumstances. It's believing you're capable of building it.
I'm Eliana. I just went all in on be underwater app full time and I'm building it in public, the wins, the slow months, all of it.
If you're scared, if it feels too late, you have at least one person in your corner. That's me.

@joncphillips Good choice. I went skydiving a few times at age 17. I’m assuming my parents aren’t too disappointed that I’m still here

@eliana_jordan So encouraging. The ‘showing your face’ part held me back for years

in 2020 i was a travel influencer.
25k followers on instagram.
i wouldn’t post a single photo unless it was perfect.
hours editing.
constantly comparing myself to everyone else.
eventually i got completely burned out and quit social media.
then i started building apps.
i thought i didn’t need social media anymore.
biggest mistake.
i needed it more than ever.
so i revived my dead instagram account for my scuba app.
started posting on x.
and i was terrified of showing my face.
for months i avoided it because i thought every photo had to be perfect.
turns out…
nobody cared.
the tech community has been one of the most supportive communities i’ve ever been part of.
my only regret is not starting to share my journey sooner.
your face doesn’t have to be perfect.
your story just has to be real.

@RealProductGirl As hard as it is, this is the time to slow down and be in the moment. The rewards are priceless

@wolfmayor_ Maybe your drumming skills just need better marketing 🤷♂️

Happy 250th Big Dawg! 🇺🇸 🎉
When you were about 230 years old, I didn’t have a lot of skin in the game, in the world around me, and thought I had you all understood.
But a couple of kids later and dreams for their future, I want what you got. Your promise is not that you’re at the final version of yourself, but that you don’t believe in a final version. Rather, the promise is that whatever you did yesterday, you’ll try find a way to do it better today, and then repeats steps one through two tomorrow.
Happy Independence Day!
Ps. Thanks for cars, a refined idea of personal liberties, Jackass, Seinfeld and Friends, your WW2 work, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, @blink182, Nike sneakers, Burger King, Xbox, Magic The Gathering, @meatcanyon, 90s Pamela Anderson, how to do fireworks properly, Shane Gillis, Dave Chappelle, Fender and @EHX guitar pedals, allowing me to romanticise the idea of diners that are open at 3am, old MTV, all the innovation I actually care about, @undertaker and @RealKevinNash Diesel, the Dookie album, Saturday Night Live, Steve Jobs, Elf movie, being the type of place that can give you Asmon and Hasan and let you make up your own mind, the ‘94 World Cup which was the first one I watched, this World Cup (shout out your neighbours too), and from the other side of the world still learning from you and believing that anything is possible with the right decisions and effort.
‘Merica ❤️

Also just wanna note: I haven’t seen one single application for my Christian Matchmaking Project that listed these, not even as preferences.
The only time height has been mentioned was women saying they prefer a man taller than them, or men saying they prefer a woman shorter than them.
Stop letting social media rage bait shape your mindset so much 👀
rachael ✿@rachallison1
As a man, have you actually had a woman reject you because you weren’t 6ft+ or making 6 figures? I’m not talking about seeing it online. Or assuming that’s the reason. I want to know if a woman has said this to you *directly* I need to know. For science. Be nice to me plz

The Bible told us women's nature well before social media.
STUNNER@Cr7Godbrand
40 years ago, parents warned daughters about bad men… Today, they warn sons about modern women. It took the inventions of social media to show us women’s true nature.
