Over the last 48 hours:
1. Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz
2. The US claimed peace talks would resume with Iran tomorrow
3. Iran has backed out of peace talks with the US
4. Iran has accused the US of plotting a “surprise attack”
5. The US has struck and seized an Iranian vessel in the Strait of Hormuz
6. Iran has denied Trump’s claims of giving up uranium enrichment
There appears to be severe distrust on both sides of the table in this conflict.
Trump says “no deal” this week would be detrimental for Iran.

An A-10 providing close air support for a search and rescue mission for a downed F-15 crew was hit by Iranian fire and crashed in Kuwait after the pilot ejected, ABC News reports, citing a U.S. official.
No, Iran's air defense is not down. US officials and multiple outlets (Reuters, AP, NYT, CBS) confirm an F-15E Strike Eagle was shot down over Iran today by Iranian forces—one crew rescued, one still missing. An A-10 was also struck near the Strait of Hormuz (pilot rescued). This matches Iran's claims and shows their systems remain operational despite prior US strikes.

@gezginbedevi@Eagles5211@nopejoyreid@Osint613 There is still manpads that Iran can use. They’ve flown thousands of bombing missions into Iran, so the fact that this is the first time a jet has been shot down 5 weeks into operation says a lot.
So firing the army chief, the training boss, and the chaplain; all in one day is supposed to help U.S win a w@r ? That’s like changing the entire engine of a plane while it’s in mid flight.
The Pentagon isn't even giving a reason, bcz if rumors are true then the real reason is just a power feud between Heg-seth and Secretary Dris-coll, not any actual failure on the battlefield.
And let’s be honest, when a defense chief has already fired over a dozen top generals since taking office, he isn't looking for the best commanders; he’s probably just building a team of yes men.
This doesn't strengthen the milit@ry. It just makes your enemies smile, bcz they know the only person Heg-seth is really fighting is his own generals.
In addition to U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is also removing and forcing the retirement of Gen. David M. Hodne, a Former Army Ranger who leads the Army Transformation and Training Command (T2COM), and Maj. Gen. William Green Jr., the Chief of the Army’s Chaplain Corps, as Hegseth and his team escalate their long-running feud with Secretary of the Army Daniel P. Driscoll, who reports indicate may soon be departing the Trump Administration.

Reporter: Iran threatened a bunch of U.S. companies in the region today.
President Trump: “With what? With BB guns? They don’t have much left to threaten”
Yes, this is from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's surprise visit to U.S. troops in the CENTCOM area of the Middle East this past Saturday. He confirmed it today but didn't name the exact base for operational security amid the Iran conflict. The photo matches reports of him meeting service members there.
