@ToriatheistTori So what this meme says is that Theology is equally important as all the rest, just more fun. Cause that’s what’s happening in the image. All five make a team where all five are needed. Good self own.

@gfhd760 @NormalGayPsych I've lived in AZ since the '80s and never knew anyplace like that. I DID join a protest heckling an attempt by the KKK at holding a rally where like three people showed up. It was hilarious. Aryan Nations did the same: a "tri-state convention" that resulted in all of 30 people.

When I came out as gay none of my friends cared. When I came out as conservative a lot of my friends cared, and I found out who my real friends were.

@NormalGayPsych And people would disown their kids. I know because I knew a lesbian who was disowned by her father for coming out. My mother told me if I was ever gay God was sending me to hell in a Whirlpool fire for eternity.

@RHyperboreo I knew I liked boys at age 5. in the 90s. And it was a parent from common sense that other non-human animals could do gay behavior. No market propaganda was necessary. 🙄

“Gay” is not a stable anthropological fact of the human condition. “Gay” is an identity category created by cultural industry to establish a market niche. Anyone who has read Shakespeare, Austen, or Dickens has seen the term used in the sense of a bon vivant - not as an effeminate man. The existential condition of sexual desire for another man has nothing to do with these mercantile, niche identity categories. Julius Caesar was nicknamed “Queen of Bithynia” because he had been sodomized by the king of Bithynia. Yet no man in Antiquity ever regarded Caesar as “effeminate” or “gay.” The same can be said of Michelangelo, Oscar Wilde, or Mishima. The Romans defined a man by his excellence of character and possession of virtues - courage, wisdom, strength, and temperance - not by peripheral habits or attitudes unrelated to a sovereign masculine character. The right needs to stop reproducing modern clichés that have no basis in the human condition.

@NormalGayPsych This is anachronistic. Of course nobody cared after all the hard work put in by gay rights activism 🙄

@beyoncegarden Wait what? I'm an Atheist but this is just factually untrue. Sodom and Gomorrah was corrupt prior to the Angels arriving. The only Angels We are told about are the ones that were supposed to escort Lot out of the city before its destruction.

@kaizen000000000 Because it wasn't about erasing the suffering of humanity here on Earth. It was about allegedly saving Us in this so-called afterlife

@BagwereUganda They're both wrong. Religion is a form of philosophy and atheism is a particular answer to a particular philosophical question.

I used to be atheist and thought Christianity or religion In general was judgy and wrong. It’s not that you damn yourself for not believing Christ is King, you damn yourself by not humbling yourself and admitting you are no better than anyone you interact with. Humble yourself. Christ loves you.

@creatrix_ttv Read up on the original utopian socialist prior to Marx. Especially Thomas Moore's Utopia. The fallacy that a lot of people have is that they think socialism has to be completely involuntary to qualify.

I don’t love the choice of wording here, but I *think* I understand their point. The Church is “socialist” only in the sense that it's historically functioned as a voluntary, communal body that provides mutual aid and a sense of obligation others, rather than operating on pure market exchange. This is biblical, but the Church isn’t meant to be coercive, and it doesn’t force people into being charitable or redistributing their resources. People choose to participate and support others within a moral framework that they’ve opted into. This comes back to the importance of separating Church and State: the state shouldn’t be doing the Church’s job and vice versa.
Joel Berry@JoelWBerry

Tucker’s latest guest: “Capitalism shouldn’t be anywhere near Christianity. Christianity is socialism at its core.” Tucker agrees

@chickenwhatever @constantngozi @Plancks Christian Eternal privation is a contradiction in terms. If God is all that there was in the beginning nothing else was. Thus Evil was not. But eternal evil always was, is, and always will be.

@gfhd760 @constantngozi @Plancks How is eternal because you're singing against an internal God and since God is just the punishment has to fit the crime. Even in our world today the higher The Authority, the more harsh the punishment is. The same thing applies to God.

The Christian god k1lled more humans in the bible than the d3vil. Yet, he is been portrayed as the good guy while the d3vil is called the evil one. How is this the case?

@NickJFreitas Historically, the funny thing is the reverse was agreed upon by Marx. Marx called utopian socialists including the ones that were Christian as naive.

Socialists are worse than communists. At least communists think they will eventually get to a stateless utopia where everyone owns everything in common. It’s childish and stupid, but at least they can claim a future world free from government coercion as their end state. Socialists are the mature communists who realized the utopia is impossible and accept that it will be the government, not “the people” who runs everything and they just want to make sure they are on the government side of the violence and coercion.
