Ali Heydari, a young Iranian protester, has been executed. He was arrested on the night of January 8 (18 Dey) in Mashhad during protests. His family had no information about his fate for weeks. No transparency. No due process. Today, they were informed of his execution by the regime. Ali was among four friends who had joined the demonstrations that night. Two were shot and killed. Ali was taken alive, only to later be executed. This is why we must keep speaking. There are many other young detainees whose names we don’t know, arrested in protests, held in silence, at risk of execution without fair trial. We must be their voice.
