The Yankees have not hit a walkoff home run in three years. What's your favorite regular season walkoff home run?

On December 1, 1969, the United States held its first televised draft lottery for the Vietnam War. Young men aged 19 to 26 watched anxiously as birthdates were drawn to determine the order of induction into military service. The process involved selecting 366 capsules, each representing a day of the year, to assign draft numbers. Those with lower numbers faced a higher likelihood of being called to serve.

Home run hire for new Arizona women's basketball coach Becky Burke: She's is hiring Tucson's Julie Brase-Hargrove to be a top assistant coach. Julie coached 17 years in the WNBA, two in NCAA and holds the state scoring record for girls. Oh yeah, also Lute Olson's granddaughter

@975Hans I always wondered how good Winona and Ramona Olson would've been as athletes had women's sports become as popular in their generation as they are today. They certainly had the genes.

Watching my 15 year old Freshman serve heat. 5 aces against one of Arizona’s top teams. Utah was a little better than Arizona today!

One of Tucson's true coaching icons, Rincon's Rich Utter, is retiring after 36 seasons as the Rangers' boys basketball coach. He won 514 games, positively influenced hundreds of young men. He will be missed.

Today we honor the extraordinary legacy of Cedric W. Dempsey '54, beloved Albion College alum, supporter, and former NCAA executive director/president. A true Briton who excelled as a three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and baseball, Cedric went on to serve as our men's basketball and cross country coach (1959-62) before becoming associate athletic director in 1965. For more than three decades, Cedric and his wife, June, remained loyal and generous supporters of Albion College, embodying the spirit of commitment that defines our institution. His remarkable journey from student-athlete to leader has not only inspired generations, but also catapulted the NCAA into the mega operation it is today. Dempsey was honored this past Sunday at the NCAA women's basketball championship for the impact he made on intercollegiate athletics, and will be recognized at tonight's game as well. Rest in peace, Cedric—your Albion family will never forget you. Continue reading more of Dempsey's impact on the Albion College and college athletics communities at the link. albion.edu/news-article/a… #LuxFiat #MyAlbion #NCAA

Cedric Dempsey, who died Saturday in San Diego, survived cancer 3 times, prevailed over 2 heart surgeries to live 94 years. He was probably the top athletic director in the last 50 years of the Pac-12. More than that, he was a wonderful man and leader.

Saddened to learn that Bill Demory, Arizona's starting QB from 1971-73, died. He was 74. Demory was Arizona's only QB to play in an NFL game from 1974 until 2012, when Nick Foles reached the NFL. Demory was a long-time educator in Phoenix.
