reasons i don't like resil (1/2): -people afk an entire season and get boosted last two weeks to title by their resil friends -boosting has never been more rampant due to resil keys -promotes toxic environment where people kiss ass / beg others for their resil key

Likeness that Blizzard get WoW Classic+ right is below slim. I have played WoW Vanilla on the “highest level” 1-60 speedrun, Hardcore world first. Speedruns, mass pvps, ungoro/lotus mafia, ranking etc. Seeing blizzard first do SoD and then this tripple retail expansion justs show they don’t have a grasp of what the audience and the game needs. What Blizzard was the worlds best of was replay ability. Diablo 1-2, Warcraft 1-3, StarCraft 1. You always wanted to play one more game, solo, with friends or against a random online opponent. Still today you return, WoW is their ultimate version of this. The urge for a new “fresh server”, if you are an ultra nerd like myself going all in or a casual wanting a new adventure in Scarlet Monastery. Today’s Blizzard have no clue why it works like that. Don’t give the audience what they think want, give them what they didn’t know they wanted. 1) main character game, one of the lost greatness in today’s gaming is that you should be able to jump on, catch up, start over. The result becomes that it is meaningless. Regardless if you have one level 38 or 8x lvl 60s. You will always have one main. That is better suited, better geared, more utility quests done. As things takes so much time to complete and even in worlds first guilds you split farm, you still have mains. Sure last years it has lost a lot of that feeling for the very most tryhards but still is true in hardcore 2)Start and efficiency matters. If you are very experienced you can get a head of the pack and it matters. You will level faster, you will get control of the economy as your character progress you can do new things or do old things faster, better, safer. There is no timer for a mythic chest or any shit. It is your time, enjoyment, satisfaction. Doing a strat ud in under 30 mins. That ZG+AQ20 in 1hour. Getting that epic mount or 10000g in supplies so you can raid without having to farm more. 3) Content gets added not irrelevant. Wow had an amazing design philosophy almost unbelievable how well thought it was, given how fast they rushed it. Among the way to 60 you pick up certain items that you will need later, that gives you power spikes etc. If it is Thrash Blade in Maraudon that you replace by spamming Rend runs in Ubrs or what not. But the game forces you always to return. Even when you speedrun Naxx and are decked out you will still do MC for Thunderfury and some few items. BWL for trinkets, ZG for enchant and maybe a mount. In Tier 0.5 chain you return to all instances basically. Maybe your guild is progressing and need that frost res and you are back spamming dungeons because you didn’t pick that item up 1 year earlier. The game is for most endless. But constantly rewarding 4) it’s a social game, how you act, your skill, style is mattering. Regardless of year and how the game developed most people will make those friends in Red Ridge Mountains. Where you struggle and need some help for the elite quests. Many times those people have later become guild mates and friends at 60. The game by design don’t forces you to play in group, it’s not the fastest typically but it’s the most fun and relaxing. The game encourages you by nature to interact, be social, handle those oddballs and “maniacs” it is a social adventure but it bounds people together and tbh it does a better job than real life. Last 5th for Sunken Temple anyone? So many people I have interacted with over 20 years that I would never bothered, had the patience or the opportunity to get to know. We needed each other in the game, we shared those late night spawn campings and we did that 100th run so we got that item which had 2 more AP. Wow Vanilla is simply a great game with a core of a social game where almost everyone fits, even the social outcasts and villains. The game industry is suffering, but it’s not because people don’t like games or play less. It’s because game designers give you what you think you want, not what you didn’t knew you wanted.

@Hellspawnlord They don’t have the talent or desire anymore. I suspect they release a bad version of classic plus that slow to update and they don’t listen to feedback as usual.

I log into my character once every expansion with billions of useless toys, some I genuinely didnt even know I had so I have no real attachment to. 100s of maxed out toons from decades of level consolidation/boosts, each character with 50 undeletable useless legendaries. I dont even recognize my toons from 2005. Im begging for a full wipe.

If the WoW 2.0 rumor is true (big if) and it comes out and I lose all my achievements, transmogs, mounts and titles after TLT I would literally evaporate. Like fel style. That's literally my only worry if that ever happens LMFAO.

@chelyndusk wouldnt make any sense to remove all that stuff since all these things are the only reason people are still attached to a 20 year old game. why would they remove it just to start with the same bs again?

I hope they remove resil in the title range so that the homeless (pug only players) twitter posters can go back to complaining about having to do homework keys and continue to complain that people with friends have it easier (like they do with resil), and meta enforcement stays the same (like it always has), and they complain that they're stuck with a +18 key now that no one wants to do because resil is gone and then we can have "bring back resil" arguments in two years. Circle of WoW discourse. Bring back this, until we've had it for a few years, then get rid of it.

It was widely considered credible but that hasn’t stopped less credible “leaks” from popping up. The latest comes from the MMO-Champion forums, which claim that Classic Plus will be an alternate timeline featuring a complete revamp of raids and their scheduling. One of the more interesting details is that Classic Plus would launch just a week after BlizzCon which would be quite a questionable decision.

@batsubtw @Humanitydh with that stupid logic applied the highest m+ keys should drop even better gear since a lot less players timed +24/25 keys than killed mythic raid bosses.. give raiders a trillion item lvl, just remove bonus effects and increased ilvl in m+

@Humanitydh they gave you mythic gear without doing any mythic raiding and people are still upset ffs, I mean thats mythic last 2 boss people are grinding hours and hours for progress and I think they deserve +1 item level lol

The only way to get the best gear for keys is by killing last 2 bosses on mythic. You literally can not do high keys unless you are farming last 2 bosses in raid and being fed gear. Last 2 bosses for most specs have anywhere from 5-7 item slots. Thats 5-7 items that are 9 (?) ilvl higher than anything els you can acquire in game. That is so much power. Literally no point in trying to do keys unless youre a HOF raider. If this change goes live like this and you enjoy wow for high keys and do not enjoy raiding. Just save your time and energy and go do something better with your time go play another game there is no reason to play the game.

Or just make keys resil if entire group has the key on resil, so there is no score gain for anyone cuz of resil keys. but none of that will ever happen, blizz just printing to much money on m+ boosting.

@Cencipvp @Gasmanlol Yeah iv been a big fan of either resil being limited to 1-3 attempts then it drops, or just reversing resil, it should really be there to benefit lower players to encourage them to push but title/r1 range keys should NOT be resilient

This is my problem with the game, just remove key depletion entirely. Make the playing field fair for everyone to prevent griefing. Whoever locks in and pushes the hardest gets title. Sure the ceiling might be a bit higher cuz people can spam but that’s totally fair to high skill
