@BrenzGarage The “very large addition” is a Carrera GT right….right?
English

Been making some room in the Garage for a very large addition. With that here’s another year ownership breakdown on a car that’s leaving.
2019 GT3RS
Lizard on Lizard
Weissach Package
Purchase price: $220,000
Selling price after one year of ownership and adding 3700 miles: $265,000
+45k for a little over one year of owning.
Now before we get to the “what about the costs?” Let’s break them down as if it was an average buyer who had no access to car buying and selling benefits.
Insurance (Statefarm): $405 Per Month: $4860 a year.
Maintenance: I did 1 oil change $400
Reg and tax: Cali is atrocious, most states are much less: $22,000
Gas: don’t be stupid, every car needs gas and this actually gets better mpg then most full size SUVs. 16/19mpg.
All in costs: $27,260
Profit after ownership: $17,740
Yes this money could have been anywhere else and made better returns. This isn’t investment advice. But as a car enthusiast I will continue to share how easy it is to drive the cars we have a passion for, for little to nothing out of pocket.
On to the next one.

@BrenzGarage The best V8 from Ferrari (not counting the special lightweight cars). I agree 100% that these will continue to climb in price especially being the last NA V8 from Ferrari, nothing better than a screamin 458 especially with the top down

“B what’s a solid drive for free supercar?” pt.2
Enter the Ferrari 458.
Arguably one of the greatest cars ever made. Reliable, easy to daily, incredibly fun to drive, solid as a rock value wise while slowly appreciating.
Reliable: 458 is a car I genuinly don’t mind buying up to 40k miles. Driven many up there and had zero issues. I know many owners with 70-100k on standard maintenance. One of the most bulletproof cars I’ve experienced on par with V10 R8. One mention is to shoot for 2012+ models. 10-11 had some transmission software issues that were fixed with a transmission update in 2012.
Easy to Drive: Genuinely one of the easiest supercars ever made to get in and go anywhere. Comfortable, plenty of cabin space, great for taller drivers due to bubble shape of the cabin. A car you can get in 5 times a day for errands and it never be a hassle.
Fun to drive: The final NA V8 Ferrari made and it revs to 9k… really as simple as that. Plenty of power, but extremely predictable due to being NA. (FI 488 likes to kick randomly with the turbos) Really good starting point in the supercar world to get a handle on control and power from these Higher tier cars.
Rock Solid Value: 458 have stayed very strong in their price range for years. This is due to very high production numbers. To stay as strong as they have and even appreciate over the last few years with how many were made are a true testament to how incredible they are and how much they are loved among the car community. One of the easiest cars to get in, drive for a few years and sell with minimal cost. They will be a 280-300k car across the board in the coming years.

@ghosty0218 It does very often. Yet it’s my favorite daily driver from the brand.

@ghosty0218 SV personally. I like the looks better, but more raw.
English

So many influencers and crypto guys who think they would love an SV/SVJ but have no experience with them or no other supercars prior.
I’ve gone through 3 SVs and 3 SVJs. Combined over 60,000 miles on them. Two of which running to the highest SVJ mileage in the world at the time.
They are absolutely incredible cars, the most raw and engaging experience you can get out of a car that’s not a Cup car.
With that being said, they are miserable. They are not a car you just jump in and take anywhere, you often have to plan out where you’re going for many reasons.
That’s kinda what makes them beautiful though. They are so intense to drive, they you really just can’t drive them any time. Takes a special day to break them out and take a trip with them.
