If inheritance tax was higher, then income tax / national insurance / VAT could be lower. Let's tax the living a little less (because living people need money) and make up the difference by taxing dead people more (because dead people do not need money).

If you're fine with people receiving hundreds-of-thousands of pounds in unearned handouts via inheritance, then don't you dare ever whinge about people on benefits getting £100 here and £200 there.
