@DrFrankTurek If I claim to believe the house is on fire but calmly sit eating dinner, my ‘belief’ is functionally identical to unbelief.

@NancyRPearcey The irony though… the most enthusiastic American communists tend to be among the most comfortable consumers capitalism has ever produced.

Under Nazism, about twenty-five million died or were shot to death in concentration camps.
25 million
Under Communism, people were subject to forced famines or to hard labor camps where an estimated eighty-five to a hundred million died or were shot to death.
85-100 million

BREAKING: In NYC at the “No Kings” rally, demonstrators waved Communist flags. No kings, but yes Communist dictators.

@AtheistTakes The universe (space, time, and matter) had a beginning, so it needs a cause beyond space and time. The only non-physical realities we know are abstract objects (like math) and minds. Abstract objects don’t cause events. Minds do. The universe is best explained by an eternal mind
English

@TheeOnlyKi65942 Stars aren’t the only source of light. Light comes from energy. After the Big Bang, as the universe cooled, energy was released as light called the cosmic microwave background, long before stars formed.

@Mormonger We see the trinity concept in nature too. In chemistry, a nitrate ion has three distinct resonance structures. The nitrate ion isn’t switching between them, it’s one ion whose true electron arrangement reflects all three resonance structures at once.

Eternal Hell for not believeing the illogical Trinity

What's a bad theology that hurts people?

@DeeWaynee94 Quantum mechanics doesn’t explain the origin of everything—it assumes laws, fields, and time already exist. “Nothing” in physics is still something. The real question is why anything exists at all—and QM can’t answer that.
English

‘Everything came from nothing’ is not the atheist position, it’s the strawman believers recite when they can’t grasp quantum mechanics, don’t read cosmology, and still think talking snakes are deep philosophy.
You want absurd?
A magic sky-dad wishing up the universe beats nothing in stupidity.

@Purrymann113 Saying “God created evil so He must be evil” is like saying light causes darkness because darkness appears when light is blocked. Evil isn’t a thing God created—it’s what happens when good is rejected.
English

@PhukyuuuReturns @hookskat Understanding evil and being empathetic with it are completely different things.
To understand something does not require in any capacity endorsing it.
English

@PhukyuuuReturns @hookskat Exactly. Empathy involves understanding and sharing the feelings of another person. Like apparently you do with Hitler.
English

@PhukyuuuReturns @hookskat All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to empathize with it.
Evil doesn’t need allies, it just needs our misplaced compassion.
English

@PhukyuuuReturns @hookskat Are you empathetic with Hitler, Stalin, Mao or Pot? if not, why do you lack such empathy?
English

@PhukyuuuReturns @hookskat You can’t live moral relativity. You can say you do, but the next time you vouch for equality, freedom, or life, consider that for those imposing it differently on you taking by them away is as valid as your position to defend it. There is no evil in the world, just preferences.
