Launching what @t1llmann and I have built in the past 2 months → @lumenfall_ai 🚀 Lumenfall is an AI media model gateway for developers. We’re starting with image generation & editing: → All leading models 🖼️ → All major providers, with automatic failover 🔀 → OpenAI-compatible API 🔌 → Zero markup on model costs 💵 “How is this different from fal or replicate?” They’re great and can even be used via Lumenfall as providers. We focus on: - normalizing behavior across models/providers - reliability (routing/failover) - working with your existing SDK (OpenAI SDK, Vercel AI SDK, LiteLLM, RubyLLM) Sign up today and get $1 free credit to try with any model. 🪙 Which features do you want us to build next?

@deedydas The best option is to be in SF for a while and absorb anything it has to offer, the move elsewhere.

The vibes in SF feel pretty frenetic right now. The divide in outcomes is the worst I've ever seen. Over the last 5yrs, a group of ~10k people - employees at Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, Nvidia, Meta TBD, founders - have hit retirement wealth of well above $20M (back of the envelope AI estimation). Everyone outside that group feels like they can work their well-paying (but <$500k) job for their whole life and never get there. Worse yet, layoffs are in full swing. Many software engineers feel like their life's skill is no longer useful. The day to day role of most jobs has changed overnight with AI. As a result, 1. The corporate ladder looks like the wrong building to climb. Everyone's trying to align with a new set of career "paths": should I be a founder? Is it too late to join Anthropic / OpenAI? should I get into AI? what company stock will 10x next? People are demanding higher salaries and switching jobs more and more. 2. There’s a deep malaise about work (and its future). Why even work at all for “peanuts”? Will my job even exist in a few years? Many feel helpless. You hear the “permanent underclass” conversation a lot, esp from young people. It's hard to focus on doing good work when you think "man, if I joined Anthropic 2yrs ago, I could retire" 3. The mid to late middle managers feel paralyzed. Many have families and don't feel like they have the energy or network to just "start a company". They don't particularly have any AI skills. They see the writing on the wall: middle management is being hollowed out in many companies. 4. The rich aren’t particularly happy either. No one is shedding tears for them (and rightfully so). But those who have "made it" experience a profound lack of purpose too. Some have gone from <$150k to >$50M in a few years with no ramp. It flips your life plans upside down. For some, comparison is the thief of joy. For some, they escape to NYC to "live life". For others still, they start companies "just cuz", often to win status points. They never imagined that by age 30, they'd be set. I once asked a post-economic founder friend why they didn't just sell the co and they said "and do what? right now, everyone wants to talk to me. if i sell, I will only have money." I understand that many reading this scoff at the champagne problems of the valley. Society is warped in this tech bubble. What is often well-off anywhere else in the world is bang average here. Unlike many other places, tenure, intelligence and hard work can be loosely correlated with outcomes in the Bay. Living through a societally transformative gold rush in that environment can be paralyzing. "Am I in the right place? Should I move? Is there time still left? Am I gonna make it?" It psychologically torments many who have moved here in search of "success". Ironically, a frequent side effect of this torment is to spin up the very products making everyone rich in hopes that you too can vibecode your path to economic enlightenment.

Dear developer friends, The way we build software is changing fast. Today I’m introducing MagoCode: magocode.com It has already radically changed the way I code. I’m moving from being a software developer to becoming an AI agent supervisor. I can now run Claude Code and Codex agents in the cloud, in parallel, on multiple projects, while I keep working on my own machine. My laptop stays free for the tasks that need my attention, and I only step back into the agents’ work when they need human review. The best part: I can keep shipping even when I’m away from my desk. From my phone, I can check agent output, review progress, open web terminals, and continue supervising work running on VPS machines. MagoCode is still in early beta, but it has already changed my workflow completely. If you want early access and want to try it for free, sign up to the waiting list or message me and I’ll help you wire it up. Let me know what you think, thanks!

What are your favorite agent orchestration tools? 🤖Wishlist: - Claude Code and Codex (Bonus: OpenCode) - Agents running on my own VPS, not cloud agents - Accessible from desktop and mobile (Kanban style web UI?) - Pings me when it needs my input and otherwise keeps going, only stopping (and automatically continuing) for rate limits

@odd_joel @aarcamp Ahh wait, moshi is an app you built. I‘ll try it, seems to fit my setup. You should think about integrating with honeymux so the desktop experience is also good!

@odd_joel @aarcamp I even use mosh instead of ssh on my mac so I can instantly get back to work. Also tap-to-tmux to get push notifications when an agent needs attention. It‘s more reliable than Claude /remote-control github.com/flavio87/tap-t…

@aarcamp I‘ve been using hmx as my main window all of yesterday and today and was wondering if I‘m „using it right“. I run all my agents on a VPS so they keep running when I close my mac and so I can keep coding on my phone by attaching to the same tmux sessions. My current hmx setup is macOS Warp-> mosh -> hmx. Is this as intended or should it be hmx on my mac and then connecting through remote panes? Also, once mobile support is there, will I be able to connect to the same hmx and keep working? When I open a second instance right now it asks me if I want to „replace“ the first one, which is not what I want. (I was too afraid to try it b/c I had a lot of sessions running.) Thank you again for hmx!

If I was a VC in Europe looking to invest in robotics, this is what I'd do using AI: 1/ Map all the leading labs across EU & UK (e.g. Imperial, ETH Zurich, Oxford, Cambridge, TUM) 2/ Scrape & find all the master's & PhD students along side with the professors over the last couple of years 3/ Build a relationship with a couple of them. I find it easy to talk to engineers & research. Ask them what they are working on, and listen carefully, and they will become your friends. 4/ Set alerts for new papers coming out of these labs. Read them carefully. You can use AI to understand the papers further. 5/ If you get to know them by name by now, ask questions, and show your interest in their work. 6/ Track all their social media profiles to see signals if they are looking to change jobs or start a company. 7/ Be the first one to show up & hand-in a check when they just need it. They will take the check. At the end, @googledeepmind came out of UCL and revolutionized the AI industry. You could see that happening with frontier tech too.

The robotics talent market is remarkably constrained. And that's going to shape who wins. Investor @bhavikvnagda shares two predictions from Bessemer’s Robotics Day: 1️⃣The power law in robotics will be more extreme than in software. 2️⃣Value will accrue to vertical end-to-end players, not foundation model companies. Foundation models matter. But the winners will be the ones deploying them. Learn more → bvp.com/atlas/bessemer…

hmx on VPS, accessing via mosh, is the main way I'm using it, with the intention of being able to seamlessly switch between mobile and desktop. It works well, but some things are of course a bit jankier than they would be with hmx chrome running locally. As a stopgap before you have the mobile UI ready, I'll try to create view sessions into the honeymux managed tmux panes. 🤞

@gianwirth In your case you could try running hmx on the VPS instead of your mac and just ssh to it from either your mac or phone. When you swap devices, just run hmx again from the new device and it should attach to the existing tmux server.

@gianwirth @gianwirth Replacing the current hmx instance should be safe, there is always just a single backing tmux server holding your workspace and session state. I didn’t want to have to reason about multiple simultaneous hmx instances yet which is why you get the replacement warning. 😅

We’ve agreed to a partnership with @SpaceX that will substantially increase our compute capacity. This, along with our other recent compute deals, means that we’ve been able to increase our usage limits for Claude Code and the Claude API.

@bridgemindai OpenAI recommends npm as default install method for codex, but Anthropic recommends their installer. I agree that the trend is very good signal, but the absolute numbers can't be compared. 📈

Codex just exploded past Claude Code in daily installs and it's not even close. 86M installs for Codex last week. Claude Code at 7M. The crossover happened April 30 and the gap is already massive. This makes sense. GPT 5.5 is the most intelligent model on the market. Rate limits on Codex let you actually ship all day. Claude Code with Opus 4.7 rate limits you into the ground within hours. Better model. Better limits. Of course developers are switching. Anthropic needs to fix the rate limits or this gap is only going to get worse.

SpaceX/xAI has just announced that it has signed an agreement with Anthropic to provide access to its Colossus 1 supercomputer. "Anthropic plans to use this additional compute to directly improve capacity for Claude Pro and Claude Max subscribers. As part of this agreement, Anthropic also expressed interest in partnering to develop multiple gigawatts of orbital AI compute capacity. The compute required to train and operate the next generation of these systems is outpacing what terrestrial power, land, and cooling can deliver on the timelines that matter. Built from the ground up in record time, Colossus delivers unprecedented scale for AI training, fine-tuning, inference, and high-performance computing workloads. Colossus 1 features over 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs, including dense deployments of H100, H200, and next-generation GB200 accelerators. The cluster delivers extreme parallel performance for large language models, multimodal systems, scientific simulations, and generative AI at frontier scale. SpaceX is the only organization with the launch cadence, mass-to-orbit economics, and constellation operations experience to make orbital compute a near-term engineering program rather than a research concept. If engineering challenges can be overcome, space-based compute offers near-limitless sustainable power with less impact on Earth." I think this is smart for SpaceX/xAI, as it seems to have some excess capacity as Colossus, so why not make a some money on the side by renting that compute capacity out. I think we'll see some more similar partnerships soon.

Imagine how bad @xai had to fumble the ball to be the only company around with EXCESS compute! If they had any users, they'd be using it. First the Cursor deal, now this. Yes, it's an impressive feat to build a datacenter this fast, but precision and good planning are more important
