@hubermanlab A LOT of talk about how much water we should be drinking. Is the pee test good enough to determine dehydration (ie not clear but not dark yellow either)? Specifically in older population.

@PainSci I wonder how this applies to exercising when during or when beginning to get sick. Would dampening the immune system in those instances have negative effects?

We humans keep our high total energetic cost of activity surprisingly consistent over time. If we exercise more, our clever biology actually cuts back on other metabolic expenses—so we don’t burn as much extra fuel as we expect. So what do we cut back?! painscience.com/blog/hungry-hu…

#HelpTweet Does anyone have access to this paper on how glute band walks work the hip MEDIAL/INTERNAL rotators and not the LATERAL/EXTERNAL rotators! 🤯🤯🤯 The ‘hub of science’ hasn’t got it and I need to try and get my head around it… 🤔🤔🤔 Thanks! sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

@ptreviewer shot in the dark here but… any recommendations for a rollator for someone almost 600lbs? Even if you don’t have time to reply - appreciate all the work you do in the PT community!

@PTPintcast PT's should be shadowing other PTs (at minimum), OT's, physicians, athletic trainers, surgeons... every year.

@JRayFalvey Too many would be deal breakers, but I am gonna go with long arc quad to start (Although clamshell is a close second!)

@ptreviewer Have you read/heard of the new book “Breath: the new science of a lost art”? Would be interested in your expert opinion if you have. Appreciate all the fantastic info you put out.

@jeffreyirvine He also CANT avoid fouling. Not sure why Boeheim trusts him when he has 2. He should be a player that plays really hard 25 min a game. Unfortunately he needs to play closer to 40 for Cuse to have a chance.

My second hottest take is that Marek trying to draw fouls every time he gets the ball limits his offensive efficiency

My hottest SU b-ball take is that settling early in the shot clock for long 3s off the dribble in the pick and roll, which you can get literally any time in the shot clock, is not the best strategy

@APTAStrokeSIG Is there evidence that shows PROM prevents contractures? From what I’ve read I’m not so sure it does.

Daily PROM should be performed to stretch an immobilized UE to prevent muscle shortening or contractures forming due to positioning within the sling.

If 3/5 MMT in shoulder, consider refraining from immobilization. If sling is necessary for function/safety, encourage patients to engage shoulder musculature to hold the arm in place, perform UE ther ex & functional tasks daily with affected UE, & attend to the arm

@tendonpain Couldn't adaptation due to TNT be an issue of time under tension? I assume when subjects perform self-guided (read 3x10 or whatever) exercise that their tendons are loaded for much less time. TNT seems similar to HSR, no? Thanks for the research!

5. # of reps is probably less important than reaching fatigue. I work with older population and tell them I want them to be tired after working with me. I often make a home exercise program but tell them my reps listed are largely a guess and I want them to perform to fatigue

What I learned from #100pushupchallenge: Gave me insight to relate to clients like: 1. Everyone did it differently and had different results. If someone says they know what's best for you, they’re probably full of it. Perhaps it matters when training a professional athlete, but..
