@MartinSLewis I paid into the system for 32 years and suddenly, through no fault of my own, found myself needing to claim UC. As a single parent of 3 young children, whilst undertaking a BSc in Forensic Psyxjokigy, UC helped me continue my studies and lol after my children.

To those saying comments like "oh good more money for those who contribute nothing" - check ur facts! 40% of UC claimants are the working poor others are carers, have disabilities or illness, & some who don't have work, want it. A little more compassion & less judgement wouldn't hurt.

Just spotted.... this is a good change for benefits recipients, deductions can be soul-destroying. #budget "Caps deductions made through Universal Credit at 15% of the standard allowance. Before this Budget, it was 25%... approximately 1.2 million households will keep more of their Universal Credit payment each month, with households expected to be better off by an average of over £420 a year"

@Holly__Sheeran I lost my dad last year, so my pain is still very raw, and I’d have never taken offence to that. It’s just a saying. Trouble with YouTube celebrities they don’t have social skills. It’s just a saying for goodness sake. Hope she’s out 1st
