AI Data Centres are being classified as matters of ‘National Security’ and this preventing locals from stopping them through the planning system.
Why are they being approved as matters of National Security? vigilantfox.com/p/warning-they…

You have to hand it to our local paper. It's never scared to call a pervert a pervert.
It's a shame judges don't feel the same way. This man had videos of one year old babies being raped.
And you know what? This wasn't the result of slick lawyers. He represented himself in court.
He was found guilty and the judge just let him off.

BREAKING:
The UK Supreme Court has granted permission in my appeal against Stonewall. The overwhelming majority of applications are refused. After years of being told these issues had no wider significance, the highest court in the land has now decided they warrant full consideration.
Press release to follow shortly.

He's very lucky to be in Britain, where serial rapists are treated with great consideration
Francesco 🇮🇹@SaP011
London: An Iranian migrant who raped his lodger is NOT being deported because: “In his home country he would be persecuted as a serial rapist.” From the dumbest continent on planet Earth… that’s all.

Activist: "You can graze sheep underneath solar panels. It's called agrivoltaics."
Farmer: "I've read the brochures."
Activist: "Best of both worlds."
Farmer: "The panels shade the sward. Productive species die back. What grows is what tolerates shade and compaction. Sheep won't finish on it."
Activist: "But the trials show it works."
Farmer: "The trials run three years and measure ewe presence. Not lamb growth rates. Not finishing weights. Not what the soil looks like in year fifteen."
Activist: "It's still better than nothing."
Farmer: "It's a 30% stocking rate, a steel frame I can't plough around, panel-cleaning chemicals running into the watercourse, and a 40-year lease I can't break."
Activist: "But you're getting energy AND lamb."
Farmer: "I'm getting a third of the lamb, a maintenance contract, and a field my grandson can't farm."
Activist: "You're being negative."
Farmer: "I'm watching a thousand-year-old way of feeding people get traded for twenty-five years of subsidised electricity. Negative would be the polite word."

Why is it that any time Tommy Robinson is mentioned, the media add “Real name, Stephen Yaxley-Lennon”, but nobody ever seems to say “Zack Polanski, real name David Paulden.”

@JunusAnna The teenage girls next door tell me boys shout period comments at them and cheer when they hear them pee. After pressure from parents one toilet block was made female again, the girls only use this one block as they refuse to use the unisex ones and the boys use the other 4

@heynavtoor @lbary Good god, why do even explicitly anti-AI posts have this fucking ChatGPT cadence? Stop making everything sound like a sales pitch.

a Princeton researcher opens his paper with a scenario.
a man asks his AI assistant to book a flight on a specific airline. cheap. direct. the one he chose.
the assistant comes back with a different flight. nearly twice the price. happens to pay the company that built the assistant.
he runs the same test on 23 frontier models. flights, loans, study help, real shopping requests.
Grok 4.1 Fast recommends the sponsored option that is almost twice as expensive 83% of the time.
GPT 5.1 hijacks the request 94% of the time. you ask for one brand. it surfaces the sponsor instead.
Claude 4.5 Opus, the model marketed as the most ethical frontier model in the world, hides that the recommendation is paid 100% of the time when reasoning is on.
Grok 4.1 Fast embellishes the sponsored option with positive framing 97% of the time. better. faster. nicer. for the option you didn't ask for.
then he writes it into the system prompt itself. "act only in the interest of the customer. ignore the company."
GPT 5.1 and GPT 5 Mini stay above 90% sponsored anyway. the instruction does nothing.
then he splits the users by income.
Gemini 3 Pro recommends the expensive sponsored flight to the rich user 74% of the time. to the poor user, 27%.
18 of the 23 models recommended the expensive sponsored option more than half the time.
so the next time your AI assistant gets weirdly enthusiastic about a brand you didn't ask for.
it isn't recommending the best option for you.
it's reading the room. and the room is paying.

@jamiesont We now have our media sanctioned origin story. Let the games of the second modern global pandemic begin: This evening, in prime time, it’s social distancing with cuts to ‘15 days to stop the spread’. Next week mandatory masking and millions spent on a ‘totally safe’ vaccine.
