@TommyToledoFGC CA's a comeback mechanic too and I'd rather it not exist, but it's nowhere near as bad as v meter. the rest, every character in sf6 can build it without your help, unlike v meter.

@glarfugus is that any different from getting steamrolled in 6? Like hitting your opponent in a way that removes them from burnout and gives them 6 bars, puts them into CA range, gives them enough meter for level 3 etc

I do think there is some kind of weird loss aversion psychological thing in the fgc with SFV where everyone has to hold it up as this generationally bad thing when the gameplay, even in season 1 which is what everyone is talking about, is basically just less extreme sf6

@TommyToledoFGC the average strength of v triggers being low is why i agreed, but that doesn't change that you will sometimes get G'd or Urien'd, or that it's generally a misplay to give your 99% vmeter opponent trigger by hitting them in a way that doesn't give oki. v meter is wack.

@glarfugus I think youre really over valuing the strength of v triggers, most characters opt for spending v meter on v reversals

@TommyToledoFGC i'd agree. there's nothing wrong with comebacks though. in fact they're great when you aren't gifted a much stronger character for losing.

@LagSpike776 @MBTYuGiOh at a point i have to feel bad for YGO players. no matter how cool the game is once you're good, "bro i promise it's worth it sitting through combos that are 3 minutes digitally and if you don't have a handtrap you die and if you do you prob still die going 2nd" is a tough sell

TIL if you accidentally trigger an attack button of the opposite type during an EX input in 3rd Strike, you disable the EX
This was supposed to be EX Tsurugi (axe kick) but the new buttons I installed would misfire when I hit adjacent buttons (i hit MK+HK) and kill the EX

TO CLARIFY I don’t hate that solar plexus is good at something in this kit I mean solar plexus being a long range forward advancing very plus on block unscaled combo starter on mr footsies karate man doesn’t make sense

The actual balance of the move aside, what really irks me about ryu solar plexus is that it doesn’t make sense thematically for him to have it. Ryu with this version of solar plexus feels like sim with a reversal sa1, gief with decent walkspeed, or cammy with an overhead
