@PatrickGormanMP 80% of those 49,000 jobs were probably in the bloated public sector and productivity will be further reduced.

49,000 new jobs created for Australians in just one month. That is what February's latest labour force data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics tells us.

@DavrosyDavros @S_GerardRennick Actually, batteries set the price for over 20% of electricity generated but only provide around 3% of that electricity. All generator's get paid the price set by the highest bidder. Which are the battery operators. Go figure.

The high electricity price is due to the high cost of gas for back up. Even if there is reservation, gas companies will charge domestic users more than the export price. What is also required is a lower, controlled price. The current wholesale price is more that double the USA price.

The One Nation team has this week renewed its push in the Senate for legislation to build a strategic gas reserve for Australia. The plan would require a portion of the gas produced here to be held back for domestic use instead of being exported, with the goal of:

@S_GerardRennick Where will the oil come from? How many years of proven oil reserves does Australia have? If the oil is imported, the problem isn't mitigated.

@MRobertsQLD I saw a comparison of sole trader accountants. Same qualifications, same job. Working for themselves. The men were earning more on average than women by more than the gender pay gap. You can't tell me that's men's fault.

For 60 years, it has been illegal to pay a woman less than a man for the same job. Yet the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) continues to release "gender pay gap" reports that refuse to compare like-for-like roles. They use raw averages that ignore the reality of human choice, i.e. the fact that many women choose to prioritise family and motherhood over "climbing the corporate ladder" or working 80-hour weeks. This isn't about equality; it’s a globalist agenda using flawed statistics to devalue the family unit and sow division between men and women. We need facts, not manufactured grievances. It’s time to stop the spin and start respecting the choices Australian families actually make.

NAB have just published a study of where Australia’s most entrepreneurial neighbourhoods are. No surprises they all have one thing in common: a high migrant population. Again migrants are the backbone of this nations economy not its burden to be stopped or politicised & vilified.

@firstfusilier The govt and police/security services are obviously in a reactive rather than proactive stance thus giving room for these types of attacks to occur. FWIW, I don't think that team would have made any difference given what I said above.

There are at least 4000 Islamic extremists on the ASIO watch list. The Albanese government only provided funding for 8 specialist Counter-Terrorism AFP officers to monitor them. This isn’t incompetence it’s criminal negligence. We need a Royal Commission now.

@AndrewBGreene It seems to me that the govt and security/police are on a reactionary rather than a proactive footing. Can Australia wait for multiple years for a royal commission to hand down findings? That is if it's terms of reference aren't narrowed to ineffectiveness.

@firstfusilier A royal commission would be next to useless. How many years until findings are handed down? Terms of reference narrowed down to avoid inconvenient findings. The country needed leadership and decisiveness. It got silence and deflection as the news cycle passed.

More horseshit from the Albanese Government. This time a minister accuses social media of inciting calls for a Commonwealth Royal Commission which she characterises as ‘hate’. It’s not hate you fucking dimwit, it’s justice.

@Peter_Fitz You only need to read the last paragraph of that article. Looks like the Telegraph buried the important bits in the last paragraph. It would likely be a totally different story if they used winter power prices.

From today's Sydney Daily Telegraph. A tad #awkward for those who continue to rant we can't afford renewables. In truth, the more we get, the lower the prices go! Gee, I wonder if Chris Bowen was right all along? Discuss. #Auspol

As thick as a brick I wonder if Jane can tell us by how many degrees (to the nearest 1/100th of a degree centigrade) that the temperature will change if we close down Australia’s remaining 21GW of coal-fired power ? When China currently a fleet of 1,100 GW of coal-fired power and they have another 484 GW under development - fools like Jane are condemning their grandchildren to lives of lower living standards under the thumb of the Chinese Communists.

The Labor leadership must tell the public which social, health, education and govt services will be cut, and what taxes will increase to fund AUKUS and attack China. Experts say aggression against China could lead to a nuclear war. Why is Labor doing this? It beggars belief!
