Curt Cignetti on his program's philosophy on how not to be average:
🎭 Average is a decision disguised as a default. Make standards visible, measurable, and non-negotiable. Because what you tolerate becomes your identity.
🤝 Most people negotiate with the work; elite teams eliminate the negotiation. The gap isn’t talent, it’s the daily refusal to accept “good enough” in reps, details, and accountability.
🧱 You don’t rise above average in big moments, you escape it in small ones. Every meeting, drill, and conversation is either reinforcing the standard, or quietly lowering it.

You want to know why Billie Eilish won’t talk about the fact that ICE is hunting predators, pedos and human traffickers?
Because she's surrounded by those same people in Hollywood in their own little Sodom and Gomorrah.
When Little Miss Eyelash was in diapers, I was fighting terrorists to protect this country that she now calls “stolen land.”
You're a clown who dances and sings for money, Billie.
You know nothing about courage.

Curt Cignetti shares a universal truth about habits and consequences.
"In life - you got freedom of choice, but not freedom of consequence."
"First you form your habits, then your habits form you."
Every choice and action you take compounds. The small decisions you make daily - preparation, work ethic, and how you respond - those become your habits.
And over time, those habits become your identity.
You're free to choose. But the consequences of those choices aren't optional.
Your habits are shaping who you become.

Stop me if you’ve heard this before. School Board inserts itself into decision making process instead of trusting the professionals the district employs….and then makes a decision that will negatively affect kids. A tale as old as time.

Leigh Board votes 9-0 to end Clarkson/Leigh Patriots Sports COOP. Leaving absolutely no time for Clarkson to find another COOP partner before the deadline on 11/1/25. Very disappointing I’m sure for many involved. @stuOWH @HuskerlandBob @1000ydguy @CLPatriotsFB @ColumbusNENews

You only get one chance to play high school sports.
One chance to leave it all on the field, the court, or the track.
Don't look back with "what ifs." Make every moment matter.
Here's your game plan:
7 Powerful Ways to Play with No Regrets.
1: Pass the MIRROR Test - Can you look at the “Man/Women” in the Mirror and tell them you gave it your all? If you can do this daily, you have passed the Mirror Test. Give your BEST Effort. Pass the Mirror Test & live with No Regrets!
2: Accept Coaching - Be coachable. You can always get better, and you always have room for improvement. Accept coaching. Every coach teaches you something. Sometimes it will be good. Sometimes, it may not be good. But, accept coaching and learn, grow, and live regret-free.
3: Earn Confidence - Athletes, you earn the right to be proud and confident. Put in the time. Commit. Be Proud. When you do this, you believe you control the outcome.
4: No Skipped Workouts - Daily Habits Win. You can’t work out some of the time. Set a schedule. Have a plan. Then, go at it with persistence and relentless consistency.
5: Positive Attitude - You can always control your energy and attitude. Make sure it is positive energy. A good attitude will leave you with no regrets.
6: Show Gratitude - Many people are involved in your commitment and your athletic experience—especially your parents. Be thankful for the time and resources they put in for you. Show gratitude. It will go a long way and will help you reach your full potential.
7: No Deposit - No Return! - Live with this mindset -> live with no regrets. You get out of everything that you put into it. Put time and energy into your sport, and you will reap the rewards. Look back on your playing career and know you did all you could. Live with No Regrets!

Mental toughness is going from frustrated to focused. Mental toughness is going from angry to aware. Mental toughness is going from complaining to competitive.
And every day you have gotta choice to make because 'it's hard' will rule your life - one way or the other.

Players: If you want to lead your team you will have to hold some of your best friends accountable. That isn’t always easy.
The best leaders lead by example and look after their teammates on the court, academically, socially, in the weight room, and in the community.
Leading is not a part-time gig. It’s a full-time job with overtime required. Leaders never punch out; they are always on the clock.
Leaders can’t be selected by coaches. They rise to the position through consistent action and mentality.
Some parts of leadership are fun such as helping teammates who need assistance and being the person who helps make decisions. There is glory in leadership.
However, many parts of leadership are difficult, such as calling up those who aren’t bringing 100% effort, managing conflict, and holding others accountable while also performing at maximum focus and effort every day.
Imagine trying to lead your teammates when you show up late, are inconsistent in your effort, or if you have a bad attitude. It isn’t possible.
However, once you get your habits, mind, and work ethic in consistent order then you’ve opened up the door to help others get there too. The most difficult part of establishing yourself as a leader is showing everyone else that you are the example, that you are the standard. It requires a relentless level of daily effort.
Leaders aren’t perfect; they are flawed just like everyone else. However they bounce back faster than others, they never waver in their effort, and they take responsibility. Leaders own their mistakes and they are elite at turning the page while learning along the way.
Leaders partner with the coaching staff to ensure the program runs at maximum capacity. A coach-led team will never win a championship. A player-led team is a dangerous team that can overcome anything and reach maximum potential.
