Have we mentioned how fast #r5rstats is? A Recent paper by @higgicd et al (jtlu.org/index.php/jtlu…) shows that r5r can be much faster than other multimodal routing models 🚀 and it is the only that can handle really large travel-time matrices 🏋️‍♂️. Kudos to R5 from @conveyal !

@ThomasG77 R5 development was driven by our need for an optimized routing component to run on the worker nodes of the Conveyal Analysis accessibility analysis system. It has so far been an internal project but could eventually make its way into #OpenTripPlanner.
