Kristaps Porzingis is a perfect fit for the Warriors if he’s healthy. But he hasn’t been himself for over a full year. POTS is a life-altering, debilitating condition that strikes at any time. Hard to trust he’ll be able to play. So I don’t get this move for Golden State. At all. But from a financial standpoint? It makes sense. Porzingis is expiring. And if he can give you a good stretch, then awesome. Because Jonathan Kuminga gave you nothing. And from an emotional standpoint? The Kuminga drama is over. You move on. But for Warriors fans, after the Giannis tease, this is undeniably deflating. Another year wasted for Steph Curry.
