This is the kind of rhetoric that’s tearing us apart.
Chicago’s own [Brandon Johnson] just said:
“White folks need to leave behind their history and embrace a new history that will set them free from being White.” How utterly divisive and racist.
Telling an entire group of people—based solely on their skin color—that their history is something to be ashamed of and rejected? That they need to be “set free” from their very identity?
This isn’t unity. This isn’t progress. This is textbook racial grievance politics designed to pit Americans against each other.
We don’t need “new histories” that shame people for who they are.
We need to reject this poison and come together as Americans—Black, White, and everything in between—around shared values, truth, and individual character. Not skin color.
History belongs to all of us. No one gets to tell you to erase yours to appease someone else’s ideology.

This guy defended his girlfriend from a Somali who was trying to sexually assault her.
The Somali stabbed him, and he tried to defend himself, ending up in the hospital.
Scottish justice pursued him with assault charges and convicted him, ruining his criminal record, while the Somali was free and didn’t even show up.
