@ItaOKelly It's been like that since Brexit - a nice handy income stream for An Post - when our non-EU customers need to exchange an item we get charged VAT, Duty and Fee as if we were importing it ourselves. We can apply for a refund but the system is very cumbersome and awkward.

News to me that there are substantial customs charges - plus an administrative fee due to An Post - both payable by the recipient in Ireland, on a small personal gift sent by a family member who resides in the US 🤷‍♀️ Anyone?
