Congress party unequivocally supports Women’s Reservation. Parliament unanimously passed the bill in 2023, it is already part of our Constitution. What the government is proposing now has nothing to do with women’s reservation. This amendment is an attempted power grab using delimitation and gerrymandering. We will not allow ‘Hissa Chori’ from OBC, Dalit and Adivasi communities by ignoring the caste census data. We will also not allow Southern, North Eastern, North Western and smaller states to be treated unfairly.

@ramgopal_rao On similar notes sir, even engineering degree education also needs revamp. Why should every engineer learn Chemistry Biology and some social subjects? If that’s needed for a balanced growth then even commerce graduates should also learn basic engineering subjects.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗗. 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝘁? For too long, we have treated the PhD as a single, standard academic pathway. That may have suited an earlier era. It will not be enough for the future. If India is serious about becoming a leading knowledge economy, we need to rethink the PhD itself. We need to ask a basic question. Should every doctoral student be trained in exactly the same way, for exactly the same outcome? I do not think so. The Conventional PhD will certainly continue, and it remains important. We will always need scholars who go deep into a subject and expand the frontiers of knowledge. But that cannot be the only model. We need 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗗 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀, aligned with the needs of a changing world. At 𝗕𝗜𝗧𝗦 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗶, we have already begun moving in this direction. 𝗣𝗵𝗗 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗧 An industry mentored doctoral track for scholars who want to work on real world problems in close partnership with industry. 𝗣𝗵𝗗 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼 𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝘀 Joint supervision across institutions, including Indian and international universities, giving scholars wider exposure and stronger academic networks. 𝗣𝗵𝗗 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗘 A startup oriented doctoral track designed for those who want to translate research into deep tech ventures and move ideas from the lab to the market. 𝗣𝗵𝗗 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀 The future of innovation will not come from rigid disciplinary silos. It will come from the intersections of fields. Electrical Engineering and Chemistry. Computer Science and Biology. Materials and Medicine. Many of the most important breakthroughs of the future will happen in these spaces. At BITS Pilani, this is already happening under SIRE through CDRF projects, which support research across traditional departmental boundaries and encourage scholars to work at the intersection of disciplines. 𝗣𝗵𝗗 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 Doctoral research aligned with India’s most pressing needs in areas such as energy, water, healthcare, semiconductors, sustainability, mobility, defence and AI. At the same time, we must confront an uncomfortable truth. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗵𝗗 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲. If we want serious talent to enter research, stipends must increase significantly. The overall research ecosystem must become stronger. Career pathways must become clearer and more diverse. A PhD can no longer be seen only as a route to becoming a professor. It must also prepare people to become industry researchers, deep tech entrepreneurs, leaders in strategic sectors, and creators of new knowledge with societal relevance. India needs more PhDs. But more importantly, India needs better designed PhD pathways. It is time for a reset. #PhD #Research

Give me one minute, and I’ll improve your Claude Code experience immediately. This is the first skill I built. And it’s the skill I use most often. *drumroll* It’s a SCREENSHOT skill. And honestly, I’m shocked Anthropic hasn’t built this functionality into Claude Code itself. Claude has access 🔑 But Claude needs EYES 👁️ Here’s what you’re going to do: 1) locate what folder all your screenshots go to (and if it’s your desktop, you’re a maniac, change it). Mine goes to a folder on my desktop called “organized screenshots” 2) prompt Claude Code with the following: Build me a skill called ‘/ss’ that lists out the files in from newest to oldest, and grabs the newest. This is how I will speak to you visually. I also want an argument for the screenshot count - if I type ‘/ss 4’, you should grab the four most recent screenshots in that folder. If I type no number after ‘ss’ then only grab the most recent screenshot. Then, whatever follows after that argument is the action I want you to take. ‘/ss huh’ means I need you to explain the screenshots’ content to me. ‘/ss 3 make infographic plz’ means I need you to grab the last 3 screenshots and use their content to make me a unified infographic. ‘/ss fix’ likely means that I’m screenshotting an error message in code we’re building out and I need you to understand the error message, figure out the bug, and edit the code to fix it. Or, if we’re in the middle of a front end design project, it might mean the design has an error (like overlapping text) to fix. ‘/ss do this’ likely means that I screenshotted a smart thing someone did online and I want us to learn from it and do the same and remix it so it’s the most goal-oriented outcome for me based on what you know about me 3) let it build you the skill 4) go on X 5) scroll through your feed and screenshot one thing you find valuable 6) open a new terminal and prompt Claude with “/ss” + “do this” or “explain” or “turn this into an infographic” 7) enjoy - you just gave Claude eyes 🎉 Let me know how it goes. Again, this is my most used Claude Code skill by a landslide and easily saves me an hour a week. Cc @bcherny @trq212

To approve your Claude's requests for permissions, I recommend using a little desk buddy. Mine lives off tokens and gets upset if you don't approve things quickly enough. It's connected to the app via bluetooth.

Scorching summer days, rising AC bills, and restless nights—sound familiar? Before you crank up the air conditioning, here’s a timeless Indian summer hack that’s natural, affordable, and beautifully effective. Enter vetiver curtains. Handwoven from the roots of vetiver grass (khus), these traditional curtains have cooled Indian homes for centuries—and they’re making a sustainable comeback. How do they work? ✔️ Cooling Effect: When sprayed with water, vetiver curtains absorb heat and reduce indoor temperatures by 6–7°C through evaporative cooling—nature’s own air conditioner. ✔️ Blocks Harsh Sunlight: They act as natural insulators, cutting down heat penetration and keeping your space cooler. ✔️ Long-Lasting & Aesthetic: Their earthy texture brings rustic charm to your home, while lasting for years with minimal upkeep. Are you ready to ditch the AC and embrace nature’s cooling magic? It's such a deep insult to hard working scientists choosing to work in India, often under low resource setups, that the "scientific community" is expected to "implement" such inane ideas. What are they supposed to do about it? GMT is just a standard that the world uses. What "empirical evidence" is the "scientific community" supposed to produce? These clowns are delegitimizing ancient India's scientific contributions as well as pushing an already abysmal system further into the ground. There is a reason why schooling system is not improved and people are kept functionally illiterate. Who will take such terrible ideas seriously?

When it’s a Saturday night, most of us are out for chai and conversations. Tonight, around 2:20–2:30 am, I was near Times Square Grand on Sindhubhavan Road, Ahmedabad, when a loud, disturbing crash broke that calm. Within seconds, people rushed toward the spot. It was a severe accident between a Kia and an Activa. I don’t know how many witnessed it live, but the sound alone was enough to shake everyone nearby. Many tried calling 108. Initially, there was a wait of about 5 minutes, but once connected, I must say it works faster than you’d expect. I personally followed up, and we even received a message confirming that the injured were taken to GMERS Civil Hospital. That system works, and I’m genuinely satisfied with the ambulance response. Three people were injured. And in such moments, our first priority should always be medical help. I usually make sure to call 108, follow up, and if needed, ask bystanders to share details that could help with reporting or supporting the injured later. But what stayed with me was something else… A few people rushed in just to see what happened. No. This is not a show. If you go to an accident site, go to help. Help the injured. Help the authorities. Or at the very least, make space for those who are trying to help. I chose not to keep or circulate disturbing images. I had shared one earlier but deleted it. The police have already taken note ~ my role is done. I just hope those three individuals recover soon, receive proper treatment, and get the support they need, including insurance for their loss. Let’s all try to be more responsible. In moments like these, humanity matters more than curiosity. @AhmedabadPolice @sanghaviharsh @Bhupendrapbjp 🙏🏻

Buying @Bose product was a dream for me for so many years. Finally bought two headphones worth INR 28K each but utterly disappointed with the quality. Bluetooth issues, ear foam damages within months and poor service support. Just expensive for no value. Regret the purchase.

i can't believe more people aren't talking about this part of the claude code leak there's a hidden feature in the source code called KAIROS, and it basically shows you anthropic's endgame KAIROS is an always-on, *proactive* Claude that does things without you asking it to. it runs in the background 24/7 while you work (or sleep) anthropic hasn't turned it on to the public yet, but the code is fully built here's how it works: every few seconds, KAIROS gets a heartbeat. basically a prompt that says "anything worth doing right now?" it looks at what's happening and makes a call: do something, or stay quiet if it acts, it can fix errors in your code, respond to messages, update files, run tasks... basically anything claude code can already do, just without you telling it to but here's what makes KAIROS different from regular claude code: it has (at least) 3 exclusive tools that regular claude code doesn't get: 1. push notifications, so it can reach you on your phone or desktop even when you're not in the terminal 2. file delivery, so it can send you things it created without you asking for them 3. pull request subscriptions, so it can watch your github and react to code changes on its own regular claude code can only talk to you when you talk to it. KAIROS can tap you on the shoulder and it keeps daily logs of everything. > what it noticed > what it decided > what it did append-only, meaning it can't erase its own history (you can read everything) at night it runs something the code literally calls "autoDream." where it consolidates what it learned during the day and reorganizes its memory while you sleep and it persists across sessions. close your laptop friday, open it monday, it's been working the whole time think about what this means in practice: > you're asleep and your website goes down. KAIROS detects it, restarts the server, and sends you a notification. by the time you see it, it's already back up > you get a customer complaint email at 2am. KAIROS reads it, sends the reply, and logs what it did. you wake up and it's already resolved > your stripe subscription page has a typo that's been live for 3 days. KAIROS spots it, fixes it, and logs the change endless use-cases, it's essentially a co-founder who never sleeps the codebase has this fully built and gated behind internal feature flags called PROACTIVE and KAIROS i think this is probably the clearest signal yet for where all ai tools are going. we are heading into the "post-prompting" era where the ai just works for you in the background like an all-knowing teammate who notices and handles everything, before you even think to ask

Mistakes happen. As a team, the important thing is to recognize it’s never an individuals’s fault — it’s the process, the culture, or the infra. In this case, there was a manual deploy step that should have been better automated. Our team has made a few improvements to the automation for next time, a couple more on the way.

It’s time someone takes note of the high handedness and not so customer friendly service of @VFSGlobal , @vfsglobalcare . Instead of making the process simple for Visa application you’ll have made it worse. A friend had a bad experience . He came from far away for a Schengen visa and was just delayed by 2 minutes due to traffic however his entry was denied . He was then told about some premium pass where you pay Rs 6000 extra and you get into a separate line and can go to submit. Similarly to collect your visa you have to come yourself , the same happens if you apply for your family jointly , each member has to come to collect. To avoid this pay Rs 1500 per passport and it’s couriered. When your visa is ready you get a sms of intimation for which you have to pay Rs 300. This is a never ending loot. These people are unfriendly, arrogant and not helpful It’s time @MEAIndia steps in and stops this !

This is either brilliant or scary: Anthropic accidentally leaked the TS source code of Claude Code (which is closed source). Repos sharing the source are taken down with DMCA. BUT this repo rewrote the code using Python, and so it violates no copyright & cannot be taken down!
