@oldheatonian Poor clearance, Yes. But They pass thru like vintage Barca, not a glove laid on anyone, by anyone, not a single challenge or attempt to intercept, but it’s all Pope’s fault.
🚨 Eddie Howe on Lewis Hall
🗣 "We haven't kept enough clean sheets lately, so i put Pope & Burn back in, and i think it had a positive effect on the look of the team"
" Every player has to fight for his place, and when you play you have to do enough to stay in the 11

@28_L_T_28 That was me! Thanks so much for those lovely words, it was worth every second. Lovely to meet you and your friend too, enjoy your next two shows! #DadsforLouis
In the pit last night in Leeds with a Dad who has driven his daughter around the UK to experience all of L’s shows. These are times they will never ever forget. He was beaming with pride “she does well at school, she deserves this”
He filmed L so she could dance! Lovely family😊
Would you be offering Fabian Schar a new deal this summer to extend his stay, or is it time to let him go?👇
Personally would keep him another year, still a top player. 👏

🗞️ Fabian Schar's time at Newcastle is likely to come to an end this summer after 8 years.
The club want a younger centre-half to challenge Malick Thiaw.

Is Nicolas Jackson the Answer? 🤔
The rumour mill is spinning into overdrive. With the summer transfer window fast approaching, fresh reports, this time from talkSPORT, are linking Newcastle United with a move for Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson.
As many of you will know, Jackson has spent this season on loan at Bayern Munich. While the 24-year-old has operated primarily as a backup to Harry Kane, he has still managed a respectable 10 goals across 29 appearances in all competitions. Despite that decent return, Bayern Munich have confirmed they will not be triggering their purchase option, meaning the Senegalese international is set to return to Stamford Bridge as it stands.
The speculation surrounding Jackson comes at a time when there is significant noise regarding the future of our own attacking ranks. While Yoane Wissa should have been a big player for us it just hasn't worked and he is being linked with a move away himself. With the club reportedly looking to reshape the forward line after a mixed bag of results, Jackson is being touted as a potential candidate to bolster our striking options.
Bringing in a Premier League-proven forward who has also gained valuable experience playing alongside top-tier talent at Bayern could offer us something different. At 24, he fits the profile of a player who still has room to develop, but he would need to hit the ground running to appease a fanbase demanding impact.
However, moving for a Chelsea player returning from a turbulent period always carries risks. We need players who are fully committed to the project and can deliver consistently in the black and white stripes.
MAGPIE METER RATING: 🐦⬛🐦⬛
What do you think? Could Nicolas Jackson be the clinical edge we’ve been missing, or should we be looking elsewhere entirely to strengthen our attack this summer? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!

On this day in #NUFC history back in 1993 we beat the Mackems 1-0 at home in Division One with Scott Sellars scoring the only goal in off the post in front of 30,364 supporters to send United a step closer to the Premier League 🦁
The end of the match saw the first sight of the Champions flag too a chant of "Terry Butcher on the dole" as the unwashed were left one point above the relegation zone! 🖤🤍

For those who like to call me Puke Edwards on here, which does always make me smile, I have lived up to that name the last few days while spraying the toilet bowl with vomit. Which is pretty much how I would also describe Wissa blasting over from eight yards while unmarked #nufc
Alex Scott breaks silence as BBC axes Football Focus after huge collapse in viewing figures.
The 41-year-old presenter revealed she had already decided to quit the long-running show before the BBC pulled the plug.
Football Focus has been scrapped in its current format after years of declining audiences.
Fans of the show have been brutal, with many saying: “The show died the moment Alex Scott took over, turned the show into a joke of its former self.”
Another added: “I stopped watching when she took over.”
The BBC has confirmed the programme will not return in its traditional Saturday lunchtime slot next season.
Thoughts?
@SupportersNufc Decide if EH is the man to lead a big rebuild or not. Proceed with whoever ( if not EH ) and let him do the rebuild , with backing. I know that’s simplistic but the man to do the rebuild is key and whoever did the signings last year simply cannot be involved at all !
Woltemade has shown what he can do upfront when he signed for Newcastle.
Do we need to see him return as striker for the rest of the season?👇👀

🤔 Speculation continues to surround Tino Livramento’s future, though his injury-plagued campaign has complicated the situation according to Chris Waugh.
Having missed significant time this season, the 23-year-old’s durability remains a point of focus for potential suitors. While top clubs remain interested, the defender’s recent dip in form has made the landscape of a potential summer move less certain.
With two years remaining on his contract, it would not be a surprise to see the club move to open talks on a new deal if a significant transfer offer does not materialise.

22yrs of Title-less pain, 6yrs of Arteta’s project.. in terms of its importance to the Club, this is Arsenal’s biggest game of the Millennium, and possibly in our whole history. I believe in this manager, and this squad. We’re going to win. COYG. 👊
