@Prominent_Bryan My best friend is moving provinces because they can't adopt a baby in Quebec after the recent change in laws. They can't conceive naturally, they've tried. On the social side, were preventing families from forming. Draconian stuff.

I’d rather 11000 public employees with the public keeping all the profits than 5000 private employees where they steal our resources What a stupid fuck this guy is

@Zee0731 Prior to 1991, Petro Canada had a bloated staff of 11,000. That was reduced, after privatization to 5000. Government takes more than twice the amount of people to do the work of the private sector.

@Cappy_Nate So why did you calculate your repay based on that number.... ROI is on profit, not revenue. If you're trying to show Canadians the investment payback period for their tax money, it's not good.

Sure! Current passenger volume Tor-Ott-Mtl: 🚂 ~2m/yr @ ~$45 ✈️ ~2m/yr @ ~$90 🚗 ~10m/yr @ ~$50 Total: ~14m/yr HSR @ $80, (2hr Tor-Mtl) could displace 2/3? ~10m/yr riders ❇️ That's $800m/yr rev At $25B that's ~30yr repay (Excl OpEx/Interest but excl Growth/Inflation too)

Showing a rail machine is not the same as proving a rail project makes economic sense. Canada’s problem isn’t that we lack equipment. It’s that politicians skip the adult questions: who pays, what’s the real demand, what gets expropriated, what’s the final cost, and what taxpayers give up instead. A machine is not a business case.

@Go_Crene @BrianSozzi How are mega caps impacted by high oil? Like seriously think about it. Will they spend less on capex because of high oil? Don't think so. Underneath the hood, the AI revolution continues

@geraldfillion Just look at this comment section, you realise how hopeless it is for business owners in Quebec. An absolute hatred for business by the population.

@QuebecOUIaussi That age group would be much better off economically if Quebec became an anglophone province. They'll be begging for immigrants in 30 years from now when they're in seniors residences and the services aren't up to par due to lack of staff.

#polqc #assnat

@StephenPunwasi To be fair, this one of those times that gaming CPI made sense. Cellphone bills are indeed much cheaper than a few years ago.

@mitchlafon @eliasmakos @brendanshowbiz The billions we already give them only cover their current losses. You're asking them to add another 500 million of losses. Where does that come from without additional tax revenue to be distributed to the CBC?

Developing language story in Quebec. French broadcasting rights for the Montreal Canadiens next season have yet to be determined. In English, situation is set. You subscribe to TSN and Sportnet, you can watch all the games. In French, it’s much more complex. Sources tell @JeremyFilosa that RDS already loses $500,000 per game they broadcast, and they cannot take on the share of games they’ve had in the past. TVA Sports is also bleeding money, and they cannot pick up the slack. They may even need to get out of broadcasting games completely. That leaves streaming to fill the gap. But if the Canadiens go that route, it would put the team in a situation where English fans have it much better than French fans, both in cost and complexity. The Habs are aware this would be a terrible look. And a bigger long term question is how will Canadian broadcasters keep up with escalating rights fees as the country’s economy continues to stagnate. This is the canary in the coal mine.

@eliasmakos @brendanshowbiz The public broadcaster, Radio Canada, should take the games as a “public service” - which is essentially their mandate.

@gorilla_fund @FredLambert @gailalfaratx I’ll blow your mind now, just like you’re blowing Elon’s cock. I also have a Model 3 and love it, yet I think Tesla is a cult. It takes a while to realize.

Freddy L, bless your heart. You sound upset calling me in a cult like that I remember when you used to write such nice things about Tesla. You even got those free Powerwalls and all the good stuff from all the referrals you helped with back then Now you write mean articles every day and your panties are in a twist when things didn’t go your way that you sold all your shares? That must feel real bad, honey. One day you’ll see that not everything needs to be so angry all the time. Just calm your little self down and maybe have a nice cup of coffee. It’ll be okay

@DyeYawns82657 @FredLambert @gailalfaratx Well sorry, but I'm quite amazed that I fill up by Model 3 for 4$ of electricity and that it drives itself almost perfectly. My Honda Civic costs me 80$ CAD to gas, is slower, and doesn't drive itself. So yea, I'll deep throat Elon anyday.
