After the vibecamp buzz dies down, I will still be here, posting about my frog counting project, about grappling our future together with ai and llms (esp positive visions of the future and how to get there!), maybe a bit about what it is like to be a caretaker (TBD), and occasionally I may weigh in with my opinions on random topics - earnestly but also held lightly (I believe this falls in the realm of shitposting??)

This is ridiculous, and definitely my own problem, but it irks me that people say, "love you." When I love someone I just say, "I love you!" What's the point of leaving out the personal pronoun? It makes the sentiment sound dumb and half-assed. If it's insincere, don't say it.

trying harder to be better bitter lesson pilled. my latest database of life, the universe, and everything is an llm handcrafted zettelkasten with shadow wiki-style talk pages seeded from my laptop files and bulk google exports. automated writes are banned. it's surprisingly effective, still contains plenty of errors but it's self-correcting and the errors are generally at the edges. it's 100% vibes. i ask the big model to brainstorm tasks such that en masse, pressure is applied on the system such that it approaches eventual consistentcy, albeit without any strict guarantees. also lots of encouragement to stay close to the primary sources. it sounds kinda crazy. i'm trying to do things that don't scale, pushing as much work into the tokens as claude-ly possible. only somehow it actually *is* scaling, like, in a right-brained sort of way.

Much of error of PauseAI view is seeing AIs as a rival alien species, instead of as descendants who will revere, if not always obey, ancestors. Sure parents can need to guide toddlers to block harm to kids & others. But crazy to expect kids to eventually kill parents.
