I worry China takes over the global economy bc of AI. I've been using these agents more and more and the loops require so much context that Chinese models are making real progress due to being 10-32x lower in cost. Knowledge work gone. They make shit. We build back up by farming?

⚠️ Let me say it loud and clear (again and again):
Islam is not a race.
Muslims are not a race.
Islam is an ideology - and like all ideologies, it’s subject to scrutiny.
The difference?
Islam punishes criticism with violence.
It mandates death for apostates.
It divides all of humanity into believers vs. subjugated.
And yet, we’re told we can’t question it?
Islam is not just a religion. It’s a totalitarian political system disguised as one, and history proves it.
“Islamophobia” is just a slur you use to silence anyone who refuses to let America be turned into an Islamic state.

Have you seen Andrew Callaghan's other stuff? Many people are definitely afraid of saying the "politically incorrect" thing but he certainly isn't one of them.
In fact, he literally says it. Multiple times. But the reason for the caveat is that he knows this is the extent of Nick's knowledge. He knows he will take this and run with it as if it gives credence to his points.
The point is: yeah, Captain Phillips, but this is pretty much all I know and obviously that's not enough information to actually form an opinion about a group of people especially considering it's literally just a Hollywood movie.

Andrew hesitates because he knows he lacks context, Nick insists that hesitation itself is a weakness and that any gut reaction should be defended on sight.
Thie exchange explains a lot about the post-fact world we are stuck in. Claims get loyalty before they get scrutiny, confidence substitutes for understanding, and humility gets framed as fear.
When people are trained to lock in early and fight forever, learning becomes some sort of betrayal.
The result is simply a noise that sounds like certainty and a public square where nobody backs off long enough to find out if they were wrong.

Everything makes sense when you consider the following seven immutable truths:
1. A large majority of native-born Americans strongly oppose Democrat policies.
2. The only way Democrats can win national elections is to import new voters, both legal and illegal.
3. The way to ensure that the newly-imported voters vote Democrat is to give them free stuff, whether via fraud or legal wealth redistribution, or both.
4. Trump’s efforts to deport illegals are therefore an existential threat to the Democrat Party and its policies.
5. Because of the foregoing, it is imperative to Democrats that they shut down ICE operations.
6. A key factor in the attempt to shut down ICE operations is to create martyrs.
7. Dead SUV Karen is a martyr. Deep down they are glad she is dead, because they NEED her to be dead.

On January 10, 2025, the Biden-Harris administration put a $25 million bounty on Nicolás Maduro for information leading to his arrest or conviction.
Public safety is not a political game.
You do not label someone a narco-dictator one year and then pretend he is no longer a threat the next simply because a different president is in office. That is cynical and irresponsible.
Maduro’s drugs have killed thousands of Americans and continue to endanger our children. Imagine being the parents of 2-year-old Nicholas Feliz Dominici, who died from fentanyl poisoning in a Bronx daycare, and watching this political theater.
America is safer today because Maduro is no longer in power.

Donald Trump’s actions in Venezuela do not make America safer, stronger, or more affordable. That Maduro is a brutal, illegitimate dictator does not change the fact that this action was both unlawful and unwise. We’ve seen this movie before. Wars for regime change or oil that are sold as strength but turn into chaos, and American families pay the price. The American people do not want this, and they are tired of being lied to. This is not about drugs or democracy. It is about oil and Donald Trump’s desire to play the regional strongman. If he cared about either, he wouldn’t pardon a convicted drug trafficker or sideline Venezuela’s legitimate opposition while pursuing deals with Maduro’s cronies. The President is putting troops at risk, spending billions, destabilizing a region, and offering no legal authority, no exit plan, and no benefit at home. America needs leadership whose priorities are lowering costs for working families, enforcing the rule of law, strengthening alliances, and — most importantly — putting the American people first.
