Ours frequently discusses Lutheranism as understood in the last 50 years in America vs Lutheranism as understood for the past 500 years and uses that as a basis for teaching prior to changes.

@lagerandgospel2 @graceriensche @prairie_posie I totally agree with both of you, but I’m a little sympathetic to people who have been lutheran for 70-90 years, but only remember crucifixes (meaningfully, prominently) showing up the last 10-20 years. I, too might give a side eye.

@prairie_posie @MaddyRose_Craig I made an absolutely horrendous sundress in 4-H when I was about ~12 and a few Lord of the Rings costumes in high school. But this dress is my first real pattern-based sewing project!
Oh, I also made this romper from a YouTube tutorial in high school.

It must be said: I am NOT a Roman Catholic, but very happily a Lutheran Protestant Evangelical Catholic. I love the sacrament of the Altar of Christ’s true Body and Blood given into my mouth; baptismal regeneration; the holy absolution; our heritage of hymns and canticles.
