Have @scotgov missed the growing body of evidence of harm caused to children by restrictions? Or don’t tbey care? There is NO justification or evidence for continuing this policy @jasonleitch @S_A_Somerville @NicolaSturgeon @CYPCS

Scot Gov confirms ongoing secondary schools mask mandate after we pushed for clarity "Following the Easter break, face coverings will continue to be required in communal areas for staff and secondary school pupils. This national guidance will apply in every school in Scotland.”

@DM_No5 @jasonleitch @BBCRadioScot Yet they’ve continually prioritised the unions and mask proponents over the very real harms being caused to deaf children. So they have chosen which groups they want to prioritise over another.

@olafdoesstuff @NicolaSturgeon There are 3000+ deaf children in Scotland each and everyone of them has been affected by face masks in school. As a parent I’m bloody furious that their life chances have been hampered even more. But hey as as the FM bashes the rotors that’s ok.

Adults can be in pubs without a mask but young people are having their education held back as the SNP are forcing them to wear one in the classroom.

@Dermatologydame Hi Fiona, we continue to campaign on facemasks as a barrier to deaf children. We raised this with MSPS at last week’s cross-party group on Deafness. We are pressing the Cabinet Secretary on Education on the impact of facemasks and deaf pupils’ attainment. DM us or email for more.

“Mask wearing in Scotland schools could end as early as next month”. Next month doesn’t sound very early. And @JohnSwinney says he “hopes” the rule won’t be in place in May. Deaf young people are unable to prepare adequately for those exams. It’s time to end it now

Sadly nobody seems to be challenging this in Scotland any more. We were told it wouldn’t be in place for a day longer than needed. It’s been well over a year. Where’s their evidence that the benefits are greater than the harm? @NDCS_Scotland @NDCS_UK @NicolaSturgeon @CYPCS

@Telegraph Meanwhile deaf/other kids who rely on seeing face are having their self esteem, mental health & education destroyed. They can’t understand friends in masks so miss class discussions & therefore education. Loneliness due to missing chit chat & the mental health impact devastating.

@UsforThemUK 😂😂😂 War against children. Love parody accounts. We’ve never stopped having masks and I’ve had a great term of teaching, pupils getting the grades as always, they understand me, we can have class discussions no problem.
