Nicola Sturgeon will receive a "resettlement grant" of £77,710 this year for standing down as an MSP, the first £30,000 of which is tax-free. That's on top of a payment of £64,378 when she stood down as FM. That's a total of £142,088 *just for walking away when things got tough*.

@Scot_Marshy @Dennynews Oil refining isn’t reserved. No public money was given to Ineos. The UK gov provided a loan guarantee so ineos could borrow money at a more favourable rate. They did likewise to Grangemouth about 10 years ago.

Reminder: The SNP Government was warned by Ineos that closing the refinery at Grangemouth was under serious consideration "well over a year" before it was publicly announced in November 2023.
