60 years ago today (20th Sep 1964) St. Marys Granard won the Leader Cup for the 1st time with victory over Longford Slashers who were chasing 3-in-a-row. The cup was presented by Alec Baxter. 🏆 Winner: St. Marys Granard ➡️ Captain: Bobby Burns ➡️ Ref: Tom McLoughlin (Mostrim)

Back in the days saving the hay with help from the neighbours and waiting for the bottle of tea it was put in a sock to keep it hot and the sandwiches wrapped in newspaper sitting at headland on a warm summer day
