At my internship currently, I tend to work with children who are classified to be on the autistic spectrum, so I found this article very useful and to be an interesting read. It helped me gain a lot of great ideas to start practicing with my clients ! sciencedaily.com/releases/2018/…

Toured Ellis Island this weekend. Part of the tour included 2 rooms about social workers' role in assisting those who immigrated. Very interesting to see the impact social workers played in one of the most important times in these individual's lives #SUsocialwork #epgilheanyS18

I was surprised to learn these statistics about partner violence. I didn’t know it was occurring so often and it is upsetting to learn. It would be beneficial to become educated on this social problem as the chances of knowing or experiencing this violence is high. #SUsocialwork twitter.com/nasw/status/98…

A great infographic to illustrate the opioid crisis nationally. The amount of children in foster care due to drug abuse is alarming #susocialwork #epgilheanyS18

The primary mission of the social work profession is to enhance human well-being and help meet the basic human needs of all people, with particular attention to the needs and empowerment of people who are vulnerable, oppressed, and living in poverty. #SUsocialwork

After visiting South Africa and seeing how certain people could have such an effect on the entire nation, I can truly say the South Africa is mourning the loss of #WinnieMadikizelaMandela, a truly influential advocacy and social justice treasure #SUsocialwork twitter.com/KhanyiDhlomo/s…

"There is no longer anything I can fear. There is nothing the apartheid government has not done to me. There isn't any pain I haven't known." - #WinnieMadikizelaMandela. Rest in peace and power qhawe lama qhawe. Your courage was incomparable.
