Due process matters but so does accountability. For far too long, wealth, titles and status have protected men. It is down to the bravery of Epstein's victims, like Virginia Giuffre, that there is some scrutiny on those who associated with him. Let's hope there's also justice

This first one by @MarinaHyde deals with a grim reality: what it means for women and girls to clearly see that we live in a world where many of the richest and most powerful men alive are simply unbothered by female sexual exploitation. Language rarely heard in Parliament but it's the language of men who buy sex, about the women whose bodies they use. @MaggieChapman would no doubt call it a job appraisal. We'd call it inhumane, vile, degrading & those men should be kept away from all women.

British transport police have announced they will enforce the Supreme Court’s guidelines. What this means is that a trans woman who has, for example, lived their entire life as a woman — has undergone medical transition — will now be strip searched by a male police officer.

CONVICTED: 13 January 2013, Una Crown, 86, was found dead at her home in Cambridgeshire. Police initially concluded her death was not suspicious, however, she had been stabbed to death and then set on fire. Her neighbour, David Newton, 68, has now been convicted of her murder.

CONVICTED: 21 June 2023, Nelly Akomah, 76, was pushed down the stairs at her home in Croydon, Surrey, and died from her injuries. The man who had fitted her kitchen, Hugo Da Silva Pires, 28, has been convicted of manslaughter, burglary and fraud. His sentence is 12 years.
