In alignment with our sustainability agenda, the Bank also undertook an environmental activity: the planting of 120 trees within the school grounds one for each year of Gayaza’s legacy. This activity forms part of the Bank’s Tiny Trees Initiative, through which we aim to plant 1 million trees by 2027. Through initiatives like these, the Bank reaffirms its commitment to financing a sustainable future for all, aligning financial growth with environmental responsibility and social progress. #SustainableCommunities #HFBTinyForestIntiative #Financingasustainblefutureforall @greeningaf

A significant day for @housingfinanceU and the Nansana community. This week, we officially launched our new branch in Nansana, an important step in our ongoing effort to bring convenient and inclusive banking services closer to the people and businesses we serve. This expansion illustrates our commitment to breaking down barriers to financial access and supporting growth in one of the fastest-developing areas in the country. As part of this launch , we later joined the community of Kazo Church of Uganda Nursery and Primary School for a tree-planting activity under our Tiny Forest initiative. Together with the learners, teachers, parents, and our partners from Greening Africa (@greeningaf), we planted 300 trees, contributing to our ambition of planting 1 million trees by 2027. Our work in Nansana is intentional. It brings together financial inclusion, environmental stewardship, and community partnership, the three pillars that define the future we are building. We are proud to stand alongside the people of Nansana as we grow opportunity, resilience, and shared prosperity.

For us, research is not a pursuit to be confined to journals and laboratories. It must translate into tangible solutions.” He further highlighted that this is why the #GraduateInnovationProgram is so vital: it is specifically designed to support our students and faculty in transforming their academic research, final-year projects, and brilliant ideas into commercially viable and scalable ventures. #InnovateWithUs @MakCoCIS @mofpedU
