@fee_bee_63 Will have to get my daughter to give it a try on the weekend and see if it gets whistled. 😂

@greg__briggs Have to admit it's the first time I've seen it! Not sure how effective it is

@taipan168 @AB1327 Agree. Plenty to like about LA. I can see why people get put off though. I may never have given it a chance had I not spent a year living in Pasadena when I was 12.

@AB1327 The Getty Museum. LACMA. The Broad. Paramount Pictures. Koreatown. The Persian restaurants in Glendale and Westwood. The yum cha in Rosemead. Runyon Canyon. The view of the sea from Malibu.
Getting around LA is a massive pain and the biggest downside, but it's worth it!

I’d add Los Angeles to this list. Initial impressions are of a sprawling, traffic-choked dystopia but explore it and you’ll find superb museums and attractions, amazing restaurants, very interesting neighbourhoods and beautiful views from the mountains.

@disco___cat Have you thought about Aldi? They use Telstra network and way cheaper. Have the kids on them and will probably switch my wife and I across later this year.

@disco___cat Crazy stuff. Just paid $15 for a stubby at the bar. 🤪

@greg__briggs Prices are insane, went in Feb pre Covid and no matter how hot and bothered we were couldn’t justify those prices

Wendy and I bought our home in Killara in 1983 for $118,000. She was flying with Ansett, I was at the bank. We saved the deposit in just under two years. The agent reckons it's worth about $3.2 million now but we'd never sell, too many memories. I don't understand why young people say it's impossible. We weren't on big money. We just had discipline 🏡

This ended badly

Carlton has leaned into the second half fade-outs this week. Lots of work from the sports psychologist, players laying bare what they see are the issues. There are also some structural issues that have hurt the club in second halves but no one is hiding away from the obvious. They have talked it out, trained it, dug into it. Now to execute against North Melbourne @FOXFOOTY

Just watched the final quarter of the #AFLNorthBlues game. Might watch it again later tonight before I head off to bed. 🦘

@MerrynSW @disco___cat If only they had realised all they needed to do was glue themselves to the Strait of Hormuz, or throw soup at it.

Why do I feel this is going to end up with an App and QR code somewhere in the near future?
