I am, what I decided to become at 8 years old - a software engineer, and I love it!

"In light of the changes that continue to impact families, I have decided to convene the presidents of the Episcopal Conferences from around the world in October 2026, in an effort to proceed, in mutual listening, to a synodal discernment on the steps to be taken in order to proclaim the Gospel to families today, in light of Amoris Laetitia and taking into account what is currently being done in the local Churches." - Message of Pope Leo XIV today marking the 10th anniversary of Amoris Laetitia

I know people are worried about the Pachamama thing Pope Leo did in 1995... but he was following Pope John-Paul II's example... You can't expect a priest to be "more Catholic than the Pope".

Our pastor recently installed two kneelers at the front of the church so that parishioners can receive communion on their knees a little more comfortably and less conspicuously, if they wish. Great move because it facilitates the right conduct rather than simply exhorting it. This principle applies to just about anything: good policy should aim at making virtue less of an against-the-current effort. He also, kind of hilariously, felt the need to ask the Boomer-Caths to not make a fuss if the less casual members of the parish wish to take Communion on the tongue.

USA St. Ignatius of Loyola Church in New York has been criticised for this unusual Mass What are your thoughts?
