Hotel breakfast is such a joke. You drop $175 and they basically give you some powder eggs and a 3 day old cinnamon roll. 😒

@CarrollCXC For sure- 100% agree. I'd say that equally as big of a mistake is to deviate from something that you have a true conviction to just because someone else that is successful is doing it!!

One of the biggest mistakes distance coaches make is becoming too committed to “the way we’ve always done it.”
The best coaches never stop learning. They’re willing to adapt, modify, & introduce new training stimuli when it benefits their athletes.

Hills pay the bills every Thursday! 6x 40s hills in the middle of an otherwise, easy run + weights.
I even have a cameo as does Oakley the golden retriever!

@AdamKedge We don't really have a quote, but the theme so far in my first couple of weeks back at my old school is "One day at a time"

What's your XC team's theme, quote, or mantra for 2026?
I respect those who are not quote guys, we've often not had a theme, and just want to steamroll everyone. "Steamroll everyone" not a bad one actually.
