THE HAUS DECISION CONFIDENCE INDEX What we learned from 500 paid marketing and finance leaders spending $11M-$100M+ on paid media annually about how enterprises are connecting (or not connecting) marketing investments to business outcomes. The findings suggest that while we have more data than ever, there is a striking lack of clarity, especially when it comes to longer term brand investments. - Only half (49%) of marketing and finance leaders say they measure what drives growth and business outcomes. The other half reported measuring what is “expected, visible, or easy to access”. - Only 39% say they are very confident evaluating ROI for large-scale brand investments, suggesting greater uncertainty around upper funnel or long term efforts. - And 71% believe AI marketing tools prioritize short-term performance over long term brand growth. Important note on the audience composition of this report: 46% work for companies with 1000+ employees - a very different picture than what many of us might expect to see in DTC (and also interesting to understand those differences!) We built Haus to transform the ways businesses make decisions. There is enormous opportunity on the table. These problems are solvable and Haus is solving them. Link to the full report in comments.

Exciting morning. Haus is the #1 fastest-growing vendor in the new Marketing Measurement category on @tryramp Rate, which is Ramp’s public vendor adoption index for SaaS buyers and analysts. Based on real SaaS spend data from 50K+ companies, Ramp Rate highlights how quickly teams are adopting Haus to power their causal measurement OS.

@BucknSF yea i have some ideas for why this is, and i think it maps to a world view misunderstanding of what changes in ai... ie when your products are now built around intelligence, which is constantly getting better. you need new abstractions. and your abstractions come from org design

SaaSpocalypse '26 is happening because incumbents have totally lost narrative control and investors don't believe they'll ever ship AI and it's happening because they (1) haven't internalized the bitter lesson, which leads to (2) being on the wrong side of model progress, which leads to (3) the wrong EPD org chart, which is all made worse because of (4) conway's law

Anthropic and OpenAI should start buying SaaS companies just to confuse everyone

When @connordault spends his Saturday night vibe coding product ideas, you better believe the Haus team will spend their Sunday figuring out how to ship it. So fun.

Why doesn’t Braze or Attentive or Cordial (and everyone else) have their own version of Performance Max or Advantage +? Just enter your objective and AI does the rest. Seems like a huge vulnerability.

@bscholl It's not ActBlue, it's the individual campaigns trading the number or your number being available on voter rolls

Last year I made contributions to both Republicans and Democrats. This got my cell on an ActBlue list—I now get multiple text solicitations daily from random Dems. Unsubscribe/block never works—it's a new number each time. I don't want to take sides but oh boy...

@oliviaakory A note on your podcast with Eric, incremental attribution as the ad objective /should/ align the creative delivery machinery to outcome and close that gap.

Bear thesis is: 1) CTV market fragmented 2) 3P cookies on the precipice of deprecation-by-consent in Chrome 3) Google absorbing open web engagement into AI Overviews.

SP500 is down -0.5% the past 5 days, $TTD is down almost -11% the past 5 days. In total, $TTD is down almost -50% from its high in December. Is TTD no longer an ad tech stock darling? Bank of America removed $TTD from their US 1 best investment ideas list this week too

the philanthropy play that hasn’t been tried is to back a bunch of left wing academics + influencers to rhetorically box out the left-NIMBYs.

@oliviaakory I worked at a network that was AL competition early - aggressive bootstrapped culture pressing every small advantage. In that era, rev share deals, cross app data targeting, sales relationships. Quick to move. Always used to hear “AL is shady, but love the CEO!” 🤔

Incredible. Applovin has overtaken The Trade Desk in market cap. i spent the early part of my career at a programmatic DSP so I am absolutely fascinated by the meteoric rise of these two companies. In my experience it was hard to stand out in this market. the inventory that you accessed from DSPs was non exclusive and fairly commoditized, making it difficult to differentiate one from the other. In addition, internet usage over time has increased in the walled gardens and decreased on open web, limiting available inventory. And with open web comes a need to more closely monitor fraud. So who has the answer on how applovin overcame all the obstacles and became so dominant in the app space? I want to study this!

@oliviaakory They’re not different! But AL is an aggressive seller (in a good way) so can expect a solid try at making inroads

@otis_reid Dem programs are historically not light on mail so did something change or is this timing from GOP mail vendors not caring about recall decay ?

@paulg For the footnotes: This might be the optimal form for the most exceptional ones, but when the company and market shifts a bit beyond what the founder saw originally, this becomes demoralizing for everyone else and an anti-pattern.
