I think that within the city limits of a geographically small central city that contains a relatively small share of the metro area’s population, “medium scale residential neighborhood” should be the minimum designation — the suburbs exist!

At one point some people flagged Bridget Gainer as a potential Chicago mayor. She’s down significantly in her re-election race. Gainer has a lot of personal achievements but has been dogged by bad attendance on the board.
