Heading into the last day on the road, these feet have travelled many kilometres, climbed many doorsteps, and seen some things along the way… survived a turkey attack, several close calls with dogs, extreme humidity, sunshine, rain, torrential rain, and did I mention rain? (1/2)

Today is Election Day in Nova Scotia! If you haven’t already, please exercise your right to vote.

If you haven’t got out to vote yet, please make a point to do so tomorrow. I appreciate your support.

On the last day before Election Day, we visited various communities, including Guysborough, Sunnyville, Havendale, Guysborough Intervale, Manchester, Port Shoreham, Manassette Lake, St. Francis Harbour, Sand Point, Steep Creek and Mulgrave.

One of my hockey parents says hockey socks without holes are like clean work boots—neither one makes sense. Lots of offers to clean my car, but I see the dirt from all the back/side roads the same way—a sign of hard work. It shows how far we’ve travelled, and how far we’ve come.

Another busy (and hot!) day on the campaign trail- stops included Half Island Cove, Philips Harbour, Queensport, Halfway Cove, Cooks Cove, Guysborough, Sunnyville and Havendale! Make sure to get out to vote!

Currently there is both a provincial and a federal election underway in Nova Scotia. Election day for the 41st provincial general election in Nova Scotia is Tuesday, August 17, 2021. Federal election day is September 20, 2021.

Can’t complain about the heat after so many days campaigning in the rain! Spent the day in Aulds Cove, Havre Boucher, Cape Jack, Linwood and East Tracadie.

(2/2) From there I travelled to Drum Head, Seal Harbour, Coddles Harbour, New Harbour, Larrys River and Charlos Cove- today was a marathon, not a sprint!

Spent the day in beautiful Dover and had a great response! Sue and I also enjoyed a delicious cheeseburger and fries at Black Duck Cove Park. The canteen is closing early for the season, so make sure to visit soon!
