Not only is this statement completely and utterly wrong on many levels, it's also a ludicrously stupid thing to say only a week before United's biggest game of the season.

Very strange that there wasn't a 4.30pm kick off on Super Sunday today. There's usually two games on, isn't there?

So infuriating how you can see clear signs of improvement already under Ruben but time & time again we are let down by individual moments of sheer stupidity. Got nothing but love and trust for this fella though, we've finally got our man. A little patience and time is needed.

Fair play to Sancho. He played very well today. But, using him to attack #MUFC and ten Hag is very odd. His quality was never in question. He's always been a brilliant technical player, proper street footballer, however just didn't show up enough. Also acting like United forced him to go through a tough time, and that ten Hag write him off, or made his United tenure unsuccessful is wide of the mark too. He didn't perform under Ole, didn't perform under Rangnick, and then started very well under ten Hag. Things started to unravel, so he took a step back from football and ten Hag sanctioned this, arranging different coaches for him to work with in his time away. Something that very few managers would have done. Ten Hag was very patient with him, brought him for the Leeds game, and it was evident that ten Hag had a soft spot for him. He had the odd moment here and there, but was inconsistent for the remainder of the season. We used him as a false 9 in Pre Season, and we seemed to get some joy from that. He barely had a sniff at the start of the season, and that prompted the situation that ultimately lead to his prolonged sideline. Could it have been handled better? Possibly. Was it all ten Hag and United's fault? Absolutely not. There is a crazy amount of revisionism. If he apologised, it would have been sorted. Ten Hag has had fallings out with other players, they've apologised and we've moved on. The commentators today were speaking about all that he's been through, and the treatment he got. But failed to mention he was at fault for most of it. Some players just don't suit a certain club, and are a perfect fit elsewhere. That is fine, but using Sancho as a tool to bash other people with will only create more division, which is exactly what the commentators and media want.

🍷🇪🇺 I spent a lot of time during my late teens working in bars, and I remember lots of people ordering wine. I remember them ordering small glasses, large glasses, whole bottles, sometimes several bottles at a time. I even remember the odd person enquiring about buying a magnum or a jeroboam (though mostly just in jest). I also remember people complaining about things. I remember them complaining that they could no longer order a pint of beer, hand over a pound (in paper note form) and get some change. I remember them complaining that they could no longer chat with the person next to them without being drowned out by a jukebox or interrupted by the beeps, bleeps and bangs of a video game. What I definitely DON’T REMEMBER is anyone - not a single person in all the years I spent behind those bars - ever mentioning, never mind requesting, a pint bottle of wine. And that should tell you everything you need to know about this one-pint bottle of wine announcement: There is no demand for one-pint bottles of wine. No one wants to buy them. No one cares whether they exist or not. It’s a total non-issue. The fact that this nonsense is heralded so triumphantly by Brexit loyalists says a lot about where our country is today. These Brexit die-hards know that, in stark contrast to the promises made by the snake-oil salesmen during the referendum, Brexit isn’t delivering solutions to the actual problems people have in their lives. It isn’t making food, electricity or gas more affordable. It isn’t making it easier to access hospital treatment or to get decent social care for elderly relatives. It isn’t increasing people's take-home pay or providing better jobs for young people. Frankly, if anything, it’s making those things worse. And because of that, they are obliged to come up with fantasy problems to which they can claim their fantasy Brexit is the solution. Our passports are the wrong colour. The emergency exit signs in the Dartford Tunnel havw odd numbers on them. Everyone’s distraught because they can’t buy wine in pint bottles. It’s all so trivial and so very tedious…and particularly maddening when millions of decent people across the country are struggling with extreme hardship on a daily basis. But perhaps we can do something about it. There is almost certainly going to be a general election in 2024. That election provides an opportunity to push back against ‘nonsense government’, to insist that our elected politicians stop taking us for fools and start putting our REAL priorities front and centre. The first step in that process is to get them to face facts. Most of the politicians who will be seeking our votes next year have already made clear they will not engage in any form of Brexit debate. They don’t want to go over old ground. They don’t want to replay the debate about whether Brexit was right or wrong. And that is absolutely fine. Brexit is done. The country made its decision. We left the EU. There is no way to change that decision now, and there is no immediate route back to EU membership. But what is NOT FINE is them using that as an excuse to avoid dealing with the very real damage being done by ‘Long Brexit’. In the same way that we have come to realise a bout of COVID-19 can have significant negative effects on our health months and even years after infection, it’s increasingly clear that Brexit is having a significant negative effect on our national well-being all these years later. As with Long Covid, the symptoms of Long Brexit are often difficult to recognise and to disentangle from other underlying issues. But disentangle them we must because, in the same way that Long Covid can persistently reduce the quality of someone’s life, Long Brexit is persistently weakening our economy, fraying the fabric of our society and undermining the institutions on which our democracy depends. If we do nothing else in 2024, Let's at least ensure that we use our democratic power to elect politicians with the courage to find a cure for Long Brexit so we can start getting our country back on track. [If you read all the way to the end and you agree with the above, please follow me and retweet this post to spread the word. Thank you!🙏]

People often ask me, why I still back ten Hag to the extent that I do, despite him making mistakes, and getting things wrong recently. It's pretty simple really, I'm fed up with the constant attention, criticism, abuse and lack of patience our managers get. They are setup to fail, due to the owners, media and pressures. And as fans, we're meant to back them and alleviate the pressure, but instead pile it on. When you have varying styled managers, of varying experience, and they all end up the same way. Then you should realise that the managers aren't the issue. #MUFC are built on projects and long-term ideals. Our most sustained successes were built on long term ideals and the idea that things don't happen overnight, every great is worth waiting for. From the Busby Babes to the class of "92. Not every project brings you success, but it's at least worth a shot. People need more patience and need to let Erik make mistakes. Just because something goes wrong, or he has done something incorrectly, doesn't make it a reason to fire him. A good example is the goalkeeping situation. I'm not fully convinced by Onana, he still has some gaping flaws in his game, and ten Hag needs to be given the license to hold his hands up and move on if needed. We saw the same thing happen with Fergie and Leighton, Pep and Bravo, Klopp and Karius and recently Arteta with Ramsdale. Just because it goes wrong, doesn't make it a mistake. Once you became afraid to make mistakes, you become afraid to take risks. If ten Hag is seen as safe, or predictable. It's actually because he's afraid to make mistakes due to the pressures that be. Very few managers excel in pressure and expectation. When Fergie came in, we weren't the club we are today, we had been in the 2nd division more recently than we'd won the league. There was still expectation, but the pressures were different. Fergie was allowed to make mistakes, but still had the backing from those that mattered. Klopp came in to a Liverpool side, who hadn't won the league since the restructuring of the league system, Liverpool were a cup team at this point. Expectation, with little pressure. Arteta came into an Arsenal side who haven't won the league since the mid 2000s and were happy with finishing in European spots. And then Pep came into a City side that were built for success, all the pieces were there. And although there was big expectation there. As he's often stated the pressure and weight of that job isn't massive. Managers need to be allowed to make mistakes, managers need to be allowed to be allowed to experiment, managers need to be allowed to have the time they need. Football is the most beautiful, passionate, spectator sport in the world. And that spectator part is often taken too far. We chose to follow this sport, we fell in love with the sport, not the other way round. The player power is too much and the fan power is an issue too. Just sit back and watch the greatest sort of entertainment, there has ever been. Trophies are the reward for sticking around, not the prize on admission.

To put a few things into context. The great Bill Shankly when seeing the bomb damaged main stand at Old Trafford after the war commented “there will never be a football team play there again”. Seven years later Matt Busbys team won the title. Six years later we lost virtually

@WeAreOpenreach question - I had a new fibre cable and box fitted recently - will you send someone to take away the old cable and remove the internal box from my house? Can I arrange for that to happen?
