idk who needs to hear this but product design is closer to engineering and strategy than graphic design and brand

@get_zen_ai : Figma to Epics in 5 Minutes ⏱️ Let's fill our backlog based on a Figma design for a car subscription e-commerce website, taking FINN as a prime example. 🏎️ Designing solutions, creating epics, and writing stories takes a lot of time and effort. It involves translating information from one format to another (e.g., from wireframes and your thoughts to epics). @get_zen_ai's mission is to assist IT professionals in getting their jobs done faster and better. We enable you to focus on the fun stuff: your thoughts, not typing and formatting text. 💻✨ Use Zen AI to create your IT documents faster. Get early access now at getzenai.com 👋 Thanks to Andrea Eggert and Matthias Moosburger from @MaibornWolff for their invaluable UX feedback! 👏💡 #buildinpublic

I should have known twitter has some big thoughts about backpacks. I need something minimal, around 20-25L, and can fit a 16" MacBook. Recommendations?
Gavin Nelson@Gavmn

@Stammy I'm in the market for a new backpack—I remember you going on a big hunt a year or so ago... anything good come of it?

tl;dr - The next evolution of serverless is stateful, and enable a metric ton of usecases that we've ignored for the last decade+ because they didn't fit into the serverless model, or were otherwise hard/expensive to build and maintain. I've been wanting to post this for a while, but it's always scary to claim some tech is the 'future'. But that's silly, this model is now inevitable. I try to break it down to one big idea (hey, what if you had a class that got instatiated ONCE for an id, and stuck around for future connections/requests) and extrapolate that to all the usecases it enables. What *I* like best about it is that it's not theoretical, you can build all those things today on @partykit_io 🎈 🔗 Link to post in reply

@tryamie Yeah that would be amazing ✨ I’m also happy to reload the app for every update. Just the dialog gets in the way

@gregoralbrecht ah very valuable feedback not sure we can ship slower haha, BUT: maybe it would help to have a less-in-your-face update flow?

Hey there @tryamie 👋 Loving the super-fast shipping cadence! However, since I'm on a managed device, I need to click away this dialog every few minutes. Is there any way to delay these or set a lower update frequency? Thank you 🤝

@TkDodo I strongly feel that transforming and re-naming data at the interface makes most sense. Let the frontend call it whatever it wants. As soon as you have several APIs and teams, chances are that naming will diverge anyway

Backend is python, auto generated schemas from open api contracts thus have user_id. Should we re-map on the client to userId ?
Ben Holmes@BHolmesDev

@daboigbae Follow the convention of your language. SQL: user_id JS: userId Python: user_id …

Hey @tryamie 👋 You and your impeccable onboarding made the news about Cron a lot less sad! Is there any way to upvote some kind of cross-calendar event blocking feature? Like, I’m only one person but I need to keep several calendars in sync 🥲

Hey @Cron 👋 Is there a way to keep my cron calendar in sync in the background on iOS? I often get reminders about events that have long left my calendar and miss notifications for new events unless I frequently open the app. Same with the widget. Is there a setting I missed?

@DavidKPiano By the way, this is simply because we tried using both v4 and v5 in the same repo. v5 is importing v4 internally and I didn't patch-package it. Solved! ✅

@DavidKPiano Locally, I have this type mismatch when I use `setup` from `xstate@5.0.0` and `useMachine` from `@xstate/react@4.0.0.`. This might very well just be our super messy repo setup 🥲 (Sorry for the screenshot! I can't yet replicate this in CodeSandbox because I ran into the above)

XState v5 is finally here 🚀 → Express any logic, from promises to state machines → Much simpler API → Massively improved TypeScript experience → Smaller bundle size, zero deps → Advanced statechart features → New docs, examples++ npm i xstate
