We produce 40% more agricultural products in this country than we can consume domestically. 1 in every 4 rows of soybeans has to go abroad. China is the largest importer of soybeans in the world. For the first time in 20 years, China's bought zero soybeans and zero new crop corn out of this country. We went from $12 billion to zero.

Quick editorial note from your humble Social Media Intern: I was reflecting this morning on my way to the office, and realized working with the Reind team is one of the most fun professional experiences I've had in a long time. Not party and hanging out fun - this is the fun of waking up every morning fired up about a critical mission to our country and her people. The fun of spending inordinate amounts of time on something with real heft and purpose. Working with exceptional funders, founders, builders, policymakers, all rowing in the same direction for something Greater Than Ourselves. Part of the fun stems from this mission being Really Hard. 40 years of deindustrialization created deep headwinds we are now just understanding. But the gears are turning, people are waking up, and moves are being made. TBH, this might not work. In ten years time we may look back and see a cratered ruin. The most important things always have the specter of catastrophe. Yet, we must try. For our future posterity and the survival of American exceptionalism. Keep moving forward - it matters.
