Random thought...at least almost once per Padres homestand, I get asked at my location in the Western Metal Building: "Are you giving away anything? Do you have any stickers?" I always am kinda befuddled by the question. Should I make/give away stickers???? 😂😂😂

Year one of fatherhood.. You're just trying to keep the kid alive lol Feeding schedules. No sleep. Google "is this normal" at 3am. Year two hits different. Kingsley started having opinions. He didn't want to wear the shoes I picked. Looked at me like I had no idea what I was doing. Bro. He's right. Here's what nobody told me about year two: 1. You stop surviving and start watching Year one is pure triage. Year two you actually get still enough to notice. The way he laughs. What scares him. What makes him brave. 2. Their personality isn't what you expected I thought I'd be raising a mini-me. Nah. Kingsley is already his own person. More like Shanice honestly lol. That's a good thing. 3. You realize the REAL job starts now Year one you're keeping them alive. Year two you realize.. you're actually shaping someone. That's heavy. No manual for that part. The shift from surviving to witnessing is quiet. Nobody throws a party for it. But it's everything.

I turn 34 next week. Left is me at my heaviest at 30 right before our oldest was born. 40lbs over. Right was Sunday with our oldest… fittest/healthiest I’ve ever been. Not sure if @danesanders is still on here but man, I’m so thankful for all MWOD gave me. Changed my life.

This is my life’s greatest achievement: You have no idea how many hours of practice it takes to create this moment. The amount of things that have to happen in sequence. For 11 and 12 years olds. CF sprinting to back up his teammate. Catcher mask off communicating “4” Pitcher backing up the plate. SS lined up to home. CF throw to SS online. SS moving his feet to receive the throw. Catcher in perfect tagging position. SS throw home perfectly placed. Tag applied without dropping the ball. Umpire in perfect position. OUT! In a huge moment in a playoff game. Better than any orchestra. The joy this brings me is unfathomable for most.
